 Dear LEGO / 552 (-20)
  Parts/Service Packs in Brazil

Please, bring these special packs to Brazil, and other countries that don't have them. In Brazil it could be by mail order, phone order, or maybe a special Lego store (in Sao Paulo). Paulo (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

(...) You consider Exploriens to be the last "true" space theme? Why is that? Is it because the UFO and Insectoid sets come with different looking (alien) helmets? Or something else about the elements included in the later sets? Followups set to (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

(...) usable (...) No tomato here! I have to agree, the old space theme was beautiful, coming out of the 1980s into the last "true" theme-Exploriens. Starships and bases revolved around a similar design that I think needed a change. I like the fresh (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

No need for apology, 8 years is the number I've heard bandied about as well... If we assume they signed it in 98 or so, that would take them about to where the final of the first three would be out, so it makes sens. (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

Hi again, sorry for all the trouble I might have caused, I am new to lugnet. But the fact that the Lucasfilm Inc. Contract includes a paragraph that does not permit any further lines seems to be true. I do not know the details in the Contract and (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Lego/playmobile ramble

(...) I wish LEGO would not dis-continue their sets from 1995. One set especially... (the 4558... that was expected) But not only that. Animals, farms, pirates, *normal* cities (you know, not everything in a city is an emergency!). Magic stuff. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

(...) Just think - if they're locking it into Star Wars for 8 years, they've gotta keep producing sets for that long. Just think of all the parts they'll have to release to keep making those sets. They've already created slightly more usable alien (...) (25 years ago, 26-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

Dear Peter, If this is any comfort, the situation in Israel isn't much better. I didn't know by how much it was off until I moved to the US (three months ago). But I know now. For contrast, let me tell you this - I used to buy Lego's through (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) Whilst that may be the case with international competitions, TLC has set up regional head offices in all the countries it distributes to, staffed by locals who (I assume) know all the legal pitfalls with running competitions. Why can't they (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

If theres any truth to this ('eight year license'), then it leaves the doors wide open for the other guys (MBs, et al). Heck, it even leaves the doors open for creative AFOLs. All we need are parts, designs & distribution :) Seriously, the SWs line (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Enough trans-antifreeze!

(...) Dan, Think of it this way, By the time they are done with the Star Wars license, the next Space line will be fresh and new like that first run in way back when it first began. Add in all the practice the lego folks will have gotten, and it (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Your kidding me right? no real space sets for 8 years? I have to put up with crappy star wars models for eight freakin years with Themes like Rock Raiders as haphazard substitutes??   Re: LEGO for Life Sweepstakes

(...) You know, living in Europe, I see so many examples of this, and I have to agree with Peters sentiment completely. Is there a *real* reason for making it US only, or just laziness, or bad company inter-communication? Because as a company that (...)
