 Dear LEGO / 3952 (-20)
Lego, LD Sell these bricks! (was: Re: Mottled Bricks and Plates!)

Dear Lego and LD, These are the neatest pieces. I have heard of them many times but necer seen them until now, and man, how cool! I could foresee pack of 25 random mottled bricks for sale as a nostalgia pack, maybe $10. Other neat ways of selling (...)   Re: Poor Service to Toy Shops = No Lego

This doesn't sound like too good of a situation. Maybe LEGO in the US can take a look at how LEGO Australia operates. In over 1 year Ozbricks has never had one cancelled order and the guys at LEGO Australia have everything under complete control so (...) (22 years ago, 6-Jun-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Poor Part Quality- 2x5x6 Castle Walls

(...) Edges with "flash", thin brittle plastic, can be an indicator of an aging mold (no longer closes as tightly) or just sloppy process control (machine not adjusted for present conditions.) Stringy plastic (like cotton candy) on the top of studs (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Poor Part Quality- 2x5x6 Castle Walls

Hmmm, Not all newer castle walls are like the ones I got. The gray corners were lighly textured and have a little gloss, the printed corners are pretty darn glossy, The Guarded Inn re-issue gray walls have a light bumby texture but still have some (...)   Re: Poor Part Quality- 2x5x6 Castle Walls

(...) I went and checked some of my walls, and it does indeed seem that around 1996 or 1997 the "feel" of the walls' outer surface changes. But it's subtler than I would have expected--less gloss, more matte, but I hadn't figured it was a conscious (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

They may very well be, but that is not the case with the wall elements. They are *supposed* to be textured that way. Jeff (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Poor Part Quality- 2x5x6 Castle Walls

(...) What are waves and mold-slump? Are these caused by old molds or by pulling the elements out of the molds before they are fully hardened or whatever? But yeah, the quality is definitely slipping -- and has been for some time. I have seen more (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Poor Part Quality- 2x5x6 Castle Walls

Sounds to me like TLG is running their molds WAY past their intended lifetime in order to cut costs. It's going to bite them in the behind if they don't watch it, as Ritvik's quality is improving while Lego's is degrading. Sooner or later, even (...) I'm sure they know we want this in America, but I don't think it is possible. Last I knew, all the models for the California Park were being built in England. If this is true then there just aren't any master builder workspaces at the LL CA. And no (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jun-02, to lugnet.legoland.california, lugnet.dear-lego)

  LEGO software idea

LEGO should partner with Avery or some other maker of printable sheets of stickers to produce a kit that people can use to make LEGO-compatible stickers. WHY OH WHY can something like this not happen at Legoland, California? Are we not special? Do you think there is not a market for this? Do you think we do not want it?
