Edges with "flash", thin brittle plastic, can be an indicator of an aging
mold (no longer closes as tightly) or just sloppy process control (machine
not adjusted for present conditions.)
Stringy plastic (like cotton candy) on the top of studs is harmless, it
indicates the part came from a "hot runner" mold where the cooled part is
still in contact with molten plastic at the injection point. This gives a
big boost to throughput and generally offers chances to improve quality.
Incomplete pieces - no excuse for that...
