What are waves and mold-slump? Are these caused by old molds or by pulling
the elements out of the molds before they are fully hardened or whatever?
But yeah, the quality is definitely slipping -- and has been for some time.
I have seen more edges with a bit of plastic still attached, stringy plastic
on the tops of studs, incompletely formed tubes, even slightly mottled
bricks -- let's not forget the more interesting first run of dark red elements.

| (...) Edges with "flash", thin brittle plastic, can be an indicator of an aging mold (no longer closes as tightly) or just sloppy process control (machine not adjusted for present conditions.) Stringy plastic (like cotton candy) on the top of studs (...) (22 years ago, 5-Jun-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)
