 Dear LEGO / 3737 (-10)
My Standard Rant about Shameless Ripoffs (was Re: LEGO-Galidor Perspective)

(...) I've never understood why competing, compatible brands are decried as "shameless ripoffs," when they are in many ways adhering to the perceived true vision of LEGO better than TLC itself--especially when TLC moves steadily farther from that (...)   Re: LEGO-Galidor Perspective In L.A. Times Article

(...) I saw the pins to which you are referring. To my eyes they look a lot like the pins that used to connect the arms of my Six Million Dollar Man action figure back in the 1970's. Am I dating myself? :) I'd be curious to see them up close though. (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: LEGO-Galidor Perspective In L.A. Times Article

<big snip> (...) While I totally agree with you, I did notice that the Galidor figs have what appears to be technic pins at the shoulders, and a similar joint at the hips. Not that that does much good, I'd just as soon build my own arms and legs (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

RE: LEGO-Galidor Perspective In L.A. Times Article

I just wanted to add my voice to this. Is there a proper official way to register these complaints/opinions ? Is there a suggestions@lego.com ou complaints@lego.com ? It looks like The LEGO Company (except LEGO-Direct!) is living in a dream world on (...) (23 years ago, 13-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: idea for what would be the PERFECT bunch of lego sets

(...) An excellent idea. I like the concept of one base set, with multiple add-on themed sets. If the add-ons are good enough, kids (and adults) would be inspired to buy and "collect" lots of them. Hmmmmm.... sort of like Bionicles, only with real (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

idea for what would be the PERFECT bunch of lego sets

1.sell a set that contains just basic parts (bricks, plates, slopes) in the basic colors (like the 3033 but with plates and slopes as well as bricks) 2.then sell addon sets that contain other parts. For example: Building/House addon with green (...) (23 years ago, 14-Feb-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: LEGO-Galidor Perspective In L.A. Times Article

(...) I think you have to expect this sort of thing with any new management, Nike or otherwise. The new management always wants to "make its mark" on the company, to preserve the illusion that they're actually doing something other than wasting the (...)
