I just wanted to add my voice to this.
Is there a proper official way to register these complaints/opinions ?
Is there a suggestions@lego.com ou complaints@lego.com ?
It looks like The LEGO Company (except LEGO-Direct!) is living in a dream
world on it's own and can't understand what was the purpose of LEGO in the
first place.
LEGO *SHOULD* continue to provide sets that compliment and expand older sets
that customers have.
Can anyone at TLC explain to me why should anyone's LEGOland/city/town STOP
growing and evolving because there are no more interesting sets to add to it
nor sets that provide enough good parts for it ?
I can integrate very well Town/City with Boats, Planes, Trains and Space and
even Ninjas, Pirates and Castles (it can be a diferent LEGOcountry with a
medieval lifestyle or can be used as monuments or LEGOmovie setups)
All of these can be used in the same er... play-session (?) with relative
logic in it.
Even those little mars-mini-figs can have a go at being the LEGO E.T.'s,
integrating very well in the Space theme.
Now... JackStone and the new alikes ? bah. ...
TLC should never forget that LEGO is about *BUILDING* !!!
Making all kind of Buildings, Roads, Towns and Land/(under)Water/Air/Space
Vehicles !
It's about making contraptions (Technic/Mindstorms) that really work and do
something. Talk about a 3D development system... LEGO is it.
I miss the days when I, as a kid, saved my money to buy a LEGO Snack-Bar
set, or more road plates to extend my LEGOlandia, or build a bigger sea
port, or construct a Cinema, more Warehouses, more trucks, a school, a
bigger airport, a new spaceship to be launched at the existing LASA
compound, and a new island for the new pirates ship...
I repeat: it's all about BRICKS!!!BRICKS!!!BRICKS!!!
2x8, 2x6, 2x4, 2x2, 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 1x10 BRICKS!!!
(and MINI-FIGs and Windows, and Doors, and Plates, and Wheels, and mini-figs
accessories, and out-door accessories like flowers and trees, etc...)
oh well...
