"I drove back here to Windsor, Ontario.  Over the holidays and on the way I

following places:"

Hmmm - anyone that can selflessly visit every toy shop in a 2000km stretch of
Canada can't be THAT lazy.  Crazy, maybe, but not lazy!

And he also said "Maybe someone else can get some official info, but me, I
figure they're "gone".  So I stocked up (got 5) and was lucky to get that."

Okay, I'll bite.  I am trying to find out about their availability on behalf
of a large UK retailer.  So, perhaps someone on LUGnet can tell me the name
and address (preferably email, but postal will do) of a Somebody working for
Lego USA, who is reponsible for supplying Blue Tubs to Zellers, Wal-Marts,
TRUs, Bays, and Sears.

Once I get that information, I can ask about future availabilty of the Set
3033 - and see whether they would be willing to export it to the UK.

Robert

PS As far as I can see, nobody has yet owned up to ever seeing a 3033 for
sale in Europe.  I suspect that this means that it has never been available
here - rather than having been discontinued as Duq was told.

PPS You wrote "Out of all of those stops and excluding TRUs, I found one single
3033 Tub.  It was in a Wal-Mart hidden waaaay up on the top shelf,  and was
still priced at Cdn$12.00 (US$8)."

Er . . .you couldn't go back and see if it's still there, could you - I'll
give you _9_ dollars for it . . .    ;-)

(...) Hehe, well, I never said I was above hypocrosy ;] The former case really is laziness (or that I just don't care enough to call). The latter case was just a way to break up a 2-day-long trip. And yes, it was crazy :] (...) Aw c'mon, you (...) (24 years ago, 22-Apr-01, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) I hope that's just the case, Robert. Windsor does get nailed by people coming over from the USA too, so the market drains quickly. But I should probably clarify my observations for the Canucks, and why it leads me to believe the Blue Tub is (...)
