 Dear LEGO / 2427 (-10)
  Re: better villians

(...) live (...) Indeed. I don't mind some character designs for certain minifigs, but this bumper crop of mutants we have now are just getting silly. The bus for the Soccer sets are a good example. Why oh why did we need more Timmy heads, and (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: better villians

(...) I disagree completely. I'd like nothing better than for LEGO to return to making only plain smileys. Steve (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Juniorization

(...) They are seriously misinformed if they believe that. Everything I've heard, from parents, kids, numerous toy store employees at various stores have said that parents and kids unanimously *hate* juniorized sets. Sure they buy them anyway (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: better villians

(...) I'm not much for villans, besides opposing Space subthemes, etc. *evil* characters just don't do it for me. (...) We're not being realistic, we're playing with Lego. (...) Violence is not what TLC is about. The only reason in my mind we see (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Formal Letter to TLC?

(...) Well, here's semi-news which I wasn't too public about beforehand. Yesterday I got a tour of TLC's Special Events Dept. (aka the Model Shop) in Enfield. Robin Smith from their legal dept. met me there, and we discussed many things about TLC (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: better villians

(...) Personally, that's what always attracted me in Lego, I think it's a pitty that none of the new sets feature the happy smiley faces anymore. I'm not saying I'm against the way TLC is depicting the faces of our beloved yellow friends but (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  better villians

i think that lego should realise that people that smile all the time and live in a world where nothing goes worng just doesnt sell anymore... i think lego needs better villians... take for example the egyptian adventurers the good guys have have 4 (...)   Re: Formal Letter to TLC?

(...) Hey, don't worry about it Tim. I can certainly understand where you're coming from. Besides, I probably shouldn't have just jumped in of the blue into a hot topic in a new group that suddenly. I've been in enough forums to know that well (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Formal Letter to TLC?

(...) Ditto to that! A brilliant and unconventional philosophy sure to make friends rather than enemies. And in the case of the Theme Gallery, where Brad has said that LEGO is indeed aware of it, I'll bet he could use some moral support from the (...) "Larry Pieniazek" <lpieniazek@mercator.com> wrote in message news:Fzp04z.I2I@lugnet.com... (...) don't (...) them". (...) And (...) Yep! I've already written Brad an email about this. I was told he's in Europe right now, so a reply might be delayed. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Aug-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
