  Re - Realease Old Themes?

I think that TLC should Re - release some of the popular older themes I think they would sell very well because most people here missed out on heaps cool sets when they went through there dark age(s). - James Walker (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) A thousand times -- YES!!! -- Richard (one of dozens of persons to have expressed this desire previously) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?

(...) I think this is exactly why TLC will NOT re-release old themes. Only a few dozen want it. Second reason: Re-releasing old themes would be like admitting defeat. TLC would have to acknowledge that present day themes stink when comparing them to (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?

(...) It could be worse...RE-VAMPING old themes... They could turn Space sets into a joke and Town sets into 2 bricks w/ wheels... Worse yet... They could bring back one of the most venerable themes like Castle and incease the price and give you (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?

(...) And bulk orders are doomed to fail, right? That's what TLC probably thought before the advent of Lego Direct -- presently, demand has exceeded all expectations. (...) Why not? Aren't you asserting it as a fact that they SHOULD acknowledge? I (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Another theme I missed while in college...for the most part...I am happy with the few figs I have, but I dream of a Battrax once in awhile... (...) I am not a train (...)   Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?

(...) Yeah, in the first month. Let's see what happens in siz months. See if the bulk ordering demands are still that great. Remember that we had to wait for bulk sales a _long_ time. Everybody got psyched up and started buying as soon as bulk sales (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?

(...) I've got 5 or 6 (I forget, exactly) already. Who needs more than that? Just sell me the doors and windows and wagon plates and slopes in bulk and I'm fine. Sure, a rereleased metroliner at 150 USD would be nice. But I'd rather see better NEW (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.trains)

Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?

(...) Uhhhhhh, me? If I found some laying around for $150 or less MISB, I sure would add to the 5 I have ;-) (...) True - I'd MUCH rather have a ton more grey windows and doors WITH glass (my "spare" 37 windows and 9 doors will be used up in no time (...)   Smackdown: J-1 vs Lar (was:Re: Re - Realease Old Themes?)
