 Dear LEGO / 1332 (-20)
  Re: Adult lego sets.

I have had a couple of other thoughts on this. Say TLC does decide to try this. And to start off they try a skyscraper. It would have to be say the size of one of the regular square bases. The set would come with all the needed beams, bricks doors (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Future Space plans?

Does anyone know what Lego plans to do with the Space theme after Star Wars is out of the scenario? Z (25 years ago, 14-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) Well half of the question is could one sell it. (assuming anyone would want it.) I am thinking of making a feature length film. (~2 hours) I have over 20,000 US$ worth of Lego elements. My question is could I use that as the medium of the film (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) One probably _can_ use the Darth Vader minifig if it's a parody. And if you're not making any money off of this, free speech rights go a long way. (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) I neglected a key point in my original question that might change the senerio somewhat. What if one was to use minifigs as "actors" in a film. (Obviously one cannot use the Darth Vader minifig, but what about the tattooine luke if it is not (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Adult lego sets.

(...) Although the idea sounds good I have a couple of problems with it. I like Jodi's idea alot as well and in a way TLC is doing this with the 2 Ultimate Collector's Star Wars models coming out this year. Although, like Jodi, I would like to see (...)   Re: Adult lego sets.

I like this idea... One way that LEGO could do this sort of thing without worrying about how well a set would go over with the public is this: Literally make them "Collector's Sets", that is, make a prototype, then advertise it, but don't make the (...)   Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) That case was slightly different, since the LEGO came from the company, under one of the art programs (where Lego gives Lego to artists to build things...) James P (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) was (...) I am no expert, but its hard to see why you would need to involve lego unless you were using their trademarks. Lego cant stop you doing anything with the bricks youve bought. I understand that they tried with the guy who built (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Adult lego sets.

I'm not sure if this has been addressed or not, but since we have an ear listening at Lego, I thought I'd throw this out. Lego makes set for kids from ages 3-14 and a few even up to 16. Those sets are released in order to allow children to build a (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) I think as long as the Lego logo wasn't prominent (perhaps even not apparent), you'd be far within your rights. I mean, most things you see used in movies are made by _someone_, even those not there because of licensing deals. Now, if your (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

(...) was (...) There's actually a music video made that way. The song's name is "Zap" and it's by a group called Etner Real. It's basically a Lego version of 'Apocalypse Now' - well made and good fun, particularly the beginning with the hospital (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  TLCs stance on stop-motion films?

Does anyone know thier stance? If someone made a movie using Lego elements instead of clay or something but didn't actually point out the fact that it was Lego, (they treated the film completly serious and never pointed out the fact that it was made (...)   Re: Castle parts please

Better yet, sell the minifigs individually (with appropriate accessories) for USD2.00 online. Do this for *all* minifigs sold in current sets. Steve (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Castle parts please

Dear Lego: Stop the madness and make a castle accessory pack with the new castle people: the new brown moustache soldier with helmet, the queen mini with her black hat, the new warrior princess, and maybe some extra stuff like the new ballista (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Lego Spares

This has most probably been asked many times but I've never seen it (probably never looked hard enough) posted anywhere. Would it not be advantageous to both Lego and consumers to offer bulk ordering? I mean Lego would certainly reap the rewards, it (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Is this as evil as I think it is?

Full (but line-split URL) (URL) Shorter (still works, almost, URL) (URL) Not only have they 'borrowed' the image from the LEGO website, but they've maimed the LEGO logo! Question is - where should reports like this be made? To the original web-site, (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)
