Re: Going nuts trying to identify a part! (redux)

(...) Thomas--if you've got it in immediate memory, there are two items that've defying my search: The new Jack Stone container (part # stamped on the 4x4x4 container piece is 30639) and the "doors" that connect via a click hinge (numbered 30625).   Re: HELP identify a 2x4 plate, 1/2 thickness (not 1/3)

(...) Clone? (do they have LEGO(r) on the studs?) Tyco(tm), IIRC, used 1/2 thick plates. But I'm hazy on clones (they're not Lego, after all...) so could be all wet. ++Lar (22 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: HELP identify a 2x4 plate, 1/2 thickness (not 1/3)

(...) Pedro, good question: No, I was NOT sure they were LEGO, but now that I have checked the studs, they are NOT imprinted with "LEGO", but rather "TYCO" is imprinted on the very center of the plate. Into the trash they go. (Just kidding.) Mystery (...) (22 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

Re: HELP identify a 2x4 plate, 1/2 thickness (not 1/3)

(...) Paul, are you *absolutely sure* that those parts are from LEGO? I mean, do they have the LEGO logo printed on top of the studs? I understand some parts like those exist, but not from LEGO (they were made by a clone brand, sorry I dunno which). (...) (22 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.brictionary)

  HELP identify a 2x4 plate, 1/2 thickness (not 1/3)

I found an unusual part while inventorying a recent eBay purchase of used LEGO. I found two identical elements that are blue 2x4 plates -- except when the two of them are connected, they equal the thickness of a regular brick. In other words, they (...)   Re: Part 6588 Question

(...) The height on this part name was given in plates. 3 1/3 bricks = 7 plates. And see (URL) for new developments. :) Steve (22 years ago, 16-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Part 6588 Question

There are many aspects of the art of piece nomenclature that continue to escape me, but this one has me completely stumped. I just came across what I think is ``Technic Gearbox 2 x 4 x 7'' (URL) doing an inventory of set 6775. I cannot for the life (...)   Re: Names for Bionicle Bohrok parts

(...) Well, Huw, between your inventories of the Bohrok sets and my adding of their parts to BrickLink, I think consolidation of name ideas would be quite useful. I've already started on a basic naming convention for them based on Mark Riley's (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.cad, lugnet.technic)

  Names for Bionicle Bohrok parts

I have submitted an inventory of 8563 to peeron, and now the new parts need naming. Here are images of them: (URL) am not sure of the formal procedure for allocating names, but Dan suggested I try here :-) Huw (22 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.brictionary, lugnet.cad)

  Re: Samsonite Info

  Re: Samsonite Info

(...) I've been thinking about the old logos. Sometimes they do not all face the same direction. I wonder if they were applied to the mold with a stamping tool, or if these features were inserts to be screwed in. One interesting thing: you can see (...) Matt, From your comment, I'm glad I threw those bricks away. Your description is correct, although my specks are always off-white, very small and highly scattered.
