From your comment, I'm glad I threw those bricks away. Your description is
correct, although my specks are always off-white, very small and highly
scattered. From your furniture reference, I would guess the spots are a
by-product of a natural biological process? From the sound of your hee-hee,
I would guess a process nearer the end of the food chain than the beginning.
