(URL) As of this writing the following shirts in the following quantities are left: got bricks 4L 2XL bley sucks 2L 1XL (...)   Re: Flesh colored bricks?

(...) All those weird elements on BL have gotta come from somewhere. I never minded it as a kid and I still don't as an adult. LEGO displays are about displaying what can be done with bricks and since no child (or more than a very few adults) has (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-07, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Flesh colored bricks?

(...) Thanks, Aaron. Tim, Yeah, that line is BS. If I recall correctly one of the buildings in the New England Village miniland section was Maersk blue. Way before that color was available in such a diverse number of elements. Also, there is a (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-07, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Flesh colored bricks?

(...) They've always used parts in colours that didn't exist. I can remember loads of times looking at photos of legoland or travelling shows or whatnot and spotting parts that didn't exist... the wide range of brown in shows in the early 80s being (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-07, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Flesh colored bricks?

(...) That is indeed a flesh color, you are seeing. Though I do not believe it is the same as the minifig colors. Instead, it is an older color that originated in either Belville or Scala lines. To my knowledge, it has never appeared in any system (...) (18 years ago, 30-Mar-07, to lugnet.color)

  Flesh colored bricks?

I was poking around brickshelf and located some pix of the new Las Vegas display in miniland @ LLCA and noticed some bricks in a color I didn't recognize: (URL) there anyone who is familiar with them that might be able to confirm? Best, Jonathan (18 years ago, 30-Mar-07, to lugnet.color)

Re: Talk me into Bley at BrickFest

(...) As Marc says the colour change affected a minority within a minority. Hardly likely to be a destructive force for the companies fortunes. Yes TLG support AFOLs and generally try to keep them happy but they are a very insignificant minority in (...) (18 years ago, 18-Mar-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Talk me into Bley at BrickFest

(...) As Matthew said, I don't think the color change was a major factor in TLC's business problems. It certainly changed my buying habits, but I'm a minority of a minority among LEGO buyers. On the other hand, the color change needlessly (...) (18 years ago, 18-Mar-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Talk me into Bley at BrickFest

(...) Folks-- I don't think "bley" itself was the problem. Good heavens, if a shift in color was sending TLC down the tubes, they were in worse shape then anyone could imagine. No, I suspect the real issue lies deeper than that. Let's try looking at (...) (18 years ago, 18-Mar-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)

Re: Talk me into Bley at BrickFest

(...) The company's trajectory over the past decade certainly implies that something took a dig at their business. Late 90's: company in financial trouble, saved by unexpected popularity of MindStorms and Bionicle product lines. Early 2000's, (...) (18 years ago, 18-Mar-07, to lugnet.color, FTX)
