Re: Music in the Castle room during Brickfest

(...) That’s really funny Shiri. How long did it take to come up with that? LoL @ Shiri Dori = SD, which = Scooby Doo! I won’t be attending, but I find that the Braveheart sound track is pretty good. And the battle song from Excalibur is great as (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Music in the Castle room during Brickfest

(...) That sounds like a lot of fun! Somewhere, I have a recording of JS Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor -- I'll see if I can find the CD! --Todd (23 years ago, 18-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Music in the Castle room during Brickfest

(...) Hmm, I can definitely bring some castley stuff. I haven't been playing too much music while building (getting to the CD player and then finding a CD which it doesn't choke on has been a detriment to my home music experience - I really need to (...)   Music in the Castle room during Brickfest

Hey guys, This is just to let you know that we are planning on having music at the Castle room during the Gathering. Since we at .castle have, repeatedly and consistently, mentioned music bringing inspiration, it makes a lot of sense to bring our (...)   Re: Crusaders for a mutual storyline?

(...) Hey Shiri, I just recently finished a story (to be unveiled at Brickfest) in which all the lion crested knights were "good guys". Their leaders(the Three Lions), in fact, will be attending the Gathering at Brickfest. I guess I'll throw my hat (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Crusaders for a mutual storyline?

(...) I have a set of these guys as good guys. If you're interested in working with me, let me know. It's fun to work on stories with other people. BK> (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Crusaders for a mutual storyline?

(...) Well...you know me.. I'm slow as anything on stories... but the Crusaders are good guys in the Kingdom of Rivnor.. as are any figs with lions on their chest or shields. :) ICQ me at some point if you'd like and mayhap something will work out, (...)   Re: Crusaders for a mutual storyline?

(...) Perhaps I'm pandering to Dan, but my Crusaders are "Bad Guys" (any overwhelmingly blue/red/yellow fig is usually evil to me). :-) I'm a noted Wolfpack apologist, though. Bruce (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Crusaders for a mutual storyline?

Hey y'all, If anyone has Crusaders as the "good guys" in their kingdom and would be interested in writing a mutual storyline with me, LMK. -Shiri (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Final Call has ended (Was: Final call for the Gathering seats!!)

(...) ...And we have now reached that point. No more reservations please. ;) I will try to have as many extra empty seats available as possible, but they will fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once all seats are filled, arrangements will (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!

(...) Well, you know how it is -- she is in one of those "skirt" bricks that is 2 high, consequently she doesn't sit! =) -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!

(...) BTW - you *sure* you don't need a seat? We can spare one fersure... -Shiri (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!

(...) Most certainly! If you send it to me I will definitely bring it along. Although it might (I stress, might) be a better idea to send the MOC to someone located in D.C. so that the MOC doesn't have to survive a train ride as well as shipping. (...)   Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!

Shiri: Okay, I am sending you Black Pearl. But rather than a seat, I just need a place for my teeny Castle Blacktron MOC -- probably around 6" square on a flat surface, and then about 9" vertical clearance. Will that work? The appearance of Black (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Participants (was: Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!)

(...) Yeah, I doubt anyone has some extremely bizarre MOCs that would look awful within a city. (Monasteries anyones? ;-) ...I think most of the buildings people would tend to bring (church, inn, shops) would be fine. But Frank, I think Jeff meant (...)   Re: For Participants (was: Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!)

(...) Ok, great. I think then that just about anything which can be built on a baseplate or two will be fine. (...) Cool, with a large city, we can just make a representative portion of it, or perhaps not even make the whole scene contiguous. In (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Participants (was: Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!)

(...) Just about anything is fine, short of very rocky, mountainous terrain and dense forests. Hills, boulders, and copses (is that correct pluralization?) of trees are all fine. (...) The city is large, although I haven't built any of it yet, so I (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: For Participants (was: Re: Final call for the Gathering seats!!)

(...) I can bring all the baseplates and scenery we will need beyond people's pre-constructed camps. (...) Jeff has already mentioned that the locale around the castle is pretty much fields, and the castle is on a lake. I'm going to assume we can (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)
