  Re: IOM: A first encounter

(...) As a matter of fact, Leah took the pictures. She happened to have the teal swords, and I don't have the pieces to make her troops. At least I don't think I do. I know I don't have either of those capes, so that's a problem right there :) On a (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM: A first encounter

(...) How cool :) Now - to humor me - who took the pictures? I know that the teal katanas aren't easy to come by, so I'm GUESSING that Adrian took the pictures, BUT the pictures are on Leah's website, so maybe she took them :) Inconceivable! This is (...)   IOM: A first encounter

Mitsuo and company and Lew's group met last Wednesday. Adrian Drake and I have written an illustrated story showing the encounter. It's at: (URL) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw) !

  Re: Short Comic ...

(...) I really liked the red blossoming cactus plants you had on the waters edge before the boat. And the guy pushing the barrel onboard looked quite fluid and realistic. I enjoyed your story setup with the inserted captions into a comic book (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM: About the Mist

(...) Thanks! I was considering to build two more galleys so the crew could bring their families. But now they know that when they build a settlement they can send for the others. So, if ships can go back, then that implies that the IOM is a kind of (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM: About the Mist

(...) Without going into such nautical stuff as Knots, chains and fathoms, a sailing ship might reach around 20km/h in good conditions (more or less depending on lots of stuff). A square is around 45km, so it's about 2hrs across by boat. It's about (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM: About the Mist

(...) I see I'm not the only person that had that idea, I see it as though it could be new inhabitants coming to the island as others left or it could just be the ships returning with more provisions to the Isle. I was also wondering how long does (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM: About the Mist

(...) They can go back and forth as much as you would like. In FACT, if someone wanted to ferry passangers from their kingdoms to the Isle, that would be a pretty cool thing to do :) But also remember that if a ship was to go back (via water) to (...)   Re: IOM: About the Mist

I have a question. Can ships go back and get more people? Or is it a one-way trip for now? (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM Prequel

(...) I'm pleased that you were able to glean that from the camp layout (as it's all true) even though I haven't studied much military strategy. In fact, I just laid out my camp in what seemed like a logical, tight grouping, so that it's easy to (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle)

Re: how big is the Isle of Mist?

(...) Isn't that "billiard" in European languages? it is in hebrew... (...) Well maybe, but not in the current situation because people have limited places to land on. To answer Lenny's question, that *is* part (only part though) of the point of (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM Prequel

(...) studied Sun Tsu's "The Art of War", I was very impressed by the set-up of your campground and the laying of the perimeter. It is obvious that your soldiers are a battle hardened group and very disciplined on top of that. -- Pawel (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle)

  Re: IOM question...

(...) I haven't thought about that, but I wouldn't rule it out right away. As far as the wind blowing, the Mist is more of a magical wall - independent of the elements. No one really knows what makes it move ... -- Pawel (URL) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: Short Comic ... (IOM)

(...) Thanks - I'm not sure yet :) (...) Yes, the island is created. Craig Hamilton has the master copy, but I have seen it when I was at his house back during the summer. What will be created though are the pieces of land that I'm taking from his (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: how big is the Isle of Mist?

(...) eep! Rule one, never do these calculations at night. ---here begins the discussion--- The island isn't only 8,000,000 baseplates big. I made a mistake in calculating and underestimated by a factor of 512. The real size of the map shown on the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: IOM question...

could there be air pockets in the mist? ex. bill was stubling throught the mist it was hard to breath when all of a suddun he found himself in a small area he could see right and breath right. and if the wind was blowing really hard could mist blow (...)   Re: Short Comic ...

(...) Dude, that's cool. I only have one problem. I WANT MORE! :) Where's the rest of the story? <shrug> I want it now! <shrug> oh well, at least it distracts me from my own story <shrug> hehehehe...... --Anthony (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  IOM Prequel

I've written another installment of the Kobayashi Chronicles. It actually takes place right before my previous installment (it's the day of "The First Night) and chronicles the arrival and setup of temporary camp. It's called, unsurprisingly enough, (...)   Re: Short Comic ... (IOM)

dude i like it.. especially how you just reference blut'ader without having to really talk in depth. are you planning on doing this for the rest of your voyage on/to IOM? id be cool if you were. -lenny ps. how were the characteristics of IOM decided (...)   Re: how big is the Isle of Mist?

(...) i know im not involved at all.. but doesn't this seem kinda excessive? i mean, with 40,000 baseplates per balladeer (or something like that), it could be possible to build an entire world, society, etc without really ever having to see anyone (...)
