Re: Why aren't we going crazy?!?

I think re-releasing sets will drive me crazy for a different, but related, reason... I'm less worried about the value of the sets I own going down, but I think this will make it much harder for me, as a buyer, to figure out how much to pay for an (...)   Re: My Inn :)

(...) I think it needs "lasers" :^D Actually, that's a real nice looking inn. I like how you built it on the Adventurers baseplate. The roof is very impressive. If I can suggest something, I think it would be nice if you took out half the beds on (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: My Inn :)

Hmmm I guess when I look at the pics now, I can see why people think that... it never dawned on me because I knew they are red.. the windows are red, the tiles are red and the doors are red.. bad lighting :( Still not sunny today, so I might have to (...)   Re: new castle pics on BrickShelf

(...) Great detail and what a layout! I wish I had as much room as you. I have my layout built alongside my pool table. So now I can't play pool and I still don't have enough room for my whole layout! I really liked the castle towers with the gray (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Inn :)

(...) I Agree with the above! A very nice roof construction. Roofs can really make a great building look even better! I also agree that sometimes less is better then more. You could make 4 really nice, big bedrooms on the second floor instead of 8 (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: My Inn :)

(...) Very cool inn, Tamy! Excellent job on the roof, that does look like it was very tricky. As someone else mentioned, good use of an oddball baseplate, too. I also like the name - but I'm biased, since my household in the SCA is the Silver Talon (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

  Re: My Inn :)

(...) Thanks Brian :) Yes the roof just floats on the top, the red border around the bottom of the roof holds it in place nicely. That roof really frustrated me.. falling apart at least 10 times.. it's pretty sturdy now, though I'm still a little (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: Why aren't we going crazy?!?

(...) Ya. But just look at it as "do I want the enjoyment of having it nowish enough to pay X for it" rather than the other way... if I stress out for 1/2 hour about the decision, that's a cost too... So stop worrying and buy buy buy. Or sell sell (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle, lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Why aren't we going crazy?!?

(...) I'm guessing that these thoughts will drag down prices somewhat. Which may be a bad thing. The good prices are what gets non-FOLs scouring the used market and putting these things up for sale (I think the bulk of my eBay buying is from non (...)   Re: Castle accessories arrived

(...) One thing that I think is kind of neat here is that the lack of a 2nd hand market in most of these packs says that they actually mostly went to people who wanted them for themselves instead of to resell. I'm sure we will see some on eBay and (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Castle accessories arrived

(...) I used to put a lot of time and energy into hunting down good deals, but I've got a very limited area to scout, as far as a "primary" market goes. I also have scaled back a lot on on-line buying because it's such a hassle getting it done from (...) (23 years ago, 24-May-01, to lugnet.castle)
