Droid Escape parts useful for Castle

I was fooling around with two <set:7106 Droid Escape> pods the other day and thought I'd show off what I came up with. An oval tower, or the front at least: (URL) large round door that swings open: (URL) approximate DAT file for the tower, using six (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Droid Escape parts useful for Castle

Wow Heather, These are great! The tower and the door are both fantastic. I wouldn't have expected tan to look so good in a castle setting, but it really gives a good effect. Nice job, thanks for posting these. I may just have to go out and buy a (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Hmmm. Waitaminute. That's right, that set comes with light gray and white 1/4 cylinders. This picture: (URL) tan to me. I guess they are light gray. Well, it looks like tan would look just as good. Oh well. -Andy Lynch ----- Original Message ----- (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Droid Escape parts useful for Castle

(...) this is a good question. I've bought a few of these I have a 3/4 two high tower on a corner of my castle and a 1/4 two high tower on another corner. leaving me with 8 of the white ones.   Re: Droid Escape parts useful for Castle

(...) Hehehe, well, if you have the right pieces, you could do the exact same thing with white bricks. The Paradisa Poolside Paradise even has those quarter-circle plates in white, I think... -Shiri (23 years ago, 28-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

(...) 1/4 (...) The pictures make it look tan... but that's just a color-balance issue... It seems pretty common. My camera often gets the color balance wrong with indoor lighting too, but it's easily corrected in a decent graphics program. -- (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Droid Escape parts useful for Castle

(...) Yup, they're grey. Using no flash with my camera results in this effect, I've noticed, but the flash pics were hopelessly overexposed. The blue background probably didn't help. If I ever get a proper website up with stories and stuff, I'll see (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

(...) The Poolside Paradise has the 6-radius white plates like the grey ones I used at the top level, but not the 4-radius - I think they're new, and not yet appearing in white. (...) Nope, no corrections, I meant the 6-radius ones. Well, the circle part is 4-stud radius, but the plate itself is 6x6... same one as you used. Too bad the only choices for wall (that I'm aware of) are red and black, though using SNOT techniques you could do white, yellow, brown, and grey (have I missed any?). I bought 8 copies of that set JUST for the white curved panels. I BRASSO'd them and used them for curved walls in a town building. BRASSO is brass polish. That is the brand name. My bottle says it's made in Canada. This product is ideal for removing decals without damaging the bricks.
