  Re: Feedback on website wanted

(...) Very nice, Anne! I had the fortune of stumbling across your page back in early spring this year and was stunned by the accuracy and attention that Dr. Carney puts into his projects. The new layout is very nice. I noticed a broken link - for (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Kind of a delayed reaction response to my own message, but three months later, I gave the Tuesday Morning sale a try yesterday, and found eight of the 2847s which have the black shoulder-pads-armor. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Red Gatehouse with white tower

Hi everyone, Just wanted to point out my latest castle creation: (URL) is the beginnings of a castle, a red gatehouse with a white tower flanking it, and the beginning of a modular wall. I need to get some close ups of the gatehouse itself, but you (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general) !

  Re: Body Armor

(...) Hello Bruce! You could use an Xacto knife for best results, watch your fingers! If you don't cut of the tab on the armor you must leave the head slightly raised, advantage is a taller warrior. The red head is good for fire demons, goblins or (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Body Armor

(...) Ahhhh, got a visored-helm here with me (shopping spree with the stuff still in the car). Kind of a hulking look, but that's okay. I'm good with an X-acto blade, I'll give that a try when I get home. Some good suggestions. Thanks. I had a (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

X-Acto sells a #13 micro saw blade that might work well for this application. I bet you can find it at a hardware store or a well-stocked model/train store. ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Body Armor

(...) I tried saw blades years ago, and I found them on the useless side for this type of work. If you are actually cutting all the way through, it works better, but I prefer a jeweler's saw at that point. A good old #11 is my flensing tool of (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Body Armor

The UFO armor pads also appear in many Insectoids sets. It's been seen in two colors: Black and Dark Grey. The black version appears to have made more appearances and is available in many smaller sets. Don't destroy those wonderful UFO figs though. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Classic castle mini fig pack

I remember in my much younger days buying a set of mini figs from LS@H that I believe would have been the first castle mini fig pack. I've never seen it documented anywhere (even here on lugnet). It consisted of the following: 2 each of the visored (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Body Armor

I dremeled the tab away using a small coarse sanding drum. Worked fine, though the ABS is so hard, it took a while. I've gone the X-acto route and I'd say the ABS is too hard to hand-cut the piece safely, unless you use a vise. binky "Bruce (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Body Armor

(...) I dug out a flat hobby file from the set I use for taking the flashing off of table top figurines to get rid of that tab, myself. It took some time and requires a bit of attention to prevent going too far or accidentally filing the 'front' (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle)
