Hi everyone,
Just wanted to point out my latest castle creation:
http://www.andyandjackie.com/lego/castle/RedGate.htm
It is the beginnings of a castle, a red gatehouse with a white tower
flanking it, and the beginning of a modular wall.
I need to get some close ups of the gatehouse itself, but you can see some
of the detail in the pictures. The tower itself has three floors plus the
flat roof, with "curved" staircases made from regular bricks leading from
floor to floor. The central portion of the roof lifts off to allow some
access to the interior. There are also 3 arched doorways that allow access
to the tower from the ground floor and roof of the gatehouse, and also the
top of the wall.
I could have used the pre-formed stairs from Lego, but the tower is also
"curved" and I wanted the stairs to follow the curve of the wall as close as
possible.
I'll probably tear them apart at least partially two or three times to add
and remove certain details, so please let me know what you think so far. :-)
The pictures were taken by Erik Olson at the GardenSLUG meeting last
Saturday, and he was nice enough to let me use the pictures on my web page.

| (...) I like the curvature of the whole model, especially the red portion of it. Too bad some of the pictures are reflecting and hard to see... :-( ... I remember seeing your Church at the Brickfest and usually complex models like that are more (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)
