Re: This is cool! —Anthony Sava
I was unaware of the vast number of people out there who do not like legos one bit. I've gotten hundreds of messages telling me my site sucks. But don't worry though, I've not ratted any of you out, I've taken one for the team. (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: This is cool! —Mark Sandlin
I don't really understand why your site is the "Awful Site of the Day." What makes it so awful? That it's Lego? I also don't understand why someone would write you just to insult your site, but I suppose there are jerks everywhere. Personally, I (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: This is cool! —Scott Edward Sanburn
Anthony, I looked at your site, and I thought it was neat. It isn't the most stimulating, beautiful, or anything like that, but it is yours, and I think you did a great job. I'm frankly surprised mine wasn't nominated! Scott S. -- Systems (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) ADOLS ~ Adult Despisers Of LEGO... scary to think that for every one of us, there is one of them! i've met people who think my passion for lego is an _absolute_ waste of my time and talent and are disgusted by the amount of $ i spend on it. (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: This is cool! —Dave Schuler
(...) Heh. I've got to admit that sometimes *I'm* disgusted by the amount of $ I spend on it, but that doesn't stop me from spending even more! Dave! (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: This is cool! —Eric Joslin
(...) Huh. I haven't gotten any of those. I have gotten plenty of people that don't understand, or give the kind of condescending "oh, isn't that nice" response. The latter is infuriating to me, and I just stop discussing it with them and move on to (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general)

Re: This is cool! —Mark Sandlin
(...) I've received a few smirks from co-workers as they've looked at my site, but they generally think it's pretty cool what I've been able to do. As for the "waste of time" remarks, it's no more a waste of time than people who sit on the couch (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: This is cool! —Anthony Sava
ACTUALLY.... the majority of 'your site sucks' messages that i've been getting have been from immature, prepubescent twerps who get their jollies from bringing other people down. In fact, i got messaged from this one 19 year old last night, who said (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: This is cool! —Eric Kingsley
(...) Oh I think we would all agree its a better use of our time then TV. I can't tell you how little I watch TV anymore.            Re: This is cool! —Shiri Dori
(...) Heh. I don't think *everyone* will agree w/you, but *I* do. ;-) The way my sister goes about it is just addictive.         XFUT .o-t.fun (...) Ah, yes (duh), well, somehow I've got the sinking feeling that my roots will be withering a lot in the next couple of years, as if they haven't been already... ouch.         (...) Lunch, Baby! Call me Mr. Lunch. But, no -- I cheated and used MS Bookshelf's Roget's. I get caught up in words sometimes.             Re: This is cool! —Shiri Dori

Re: This is cool! —Richard Marchetti
(...) Yup. People who put down other people for their interests are just trying to boost their own egos by putting down those of others.           Re: This is cool! —Chris Fortier
Right on everyone! I also usually find that the people who tend to put down people such as us fans of LEGO and other people who have hobbies have no real substance to their personality and or problems that, if untouched, could put them on Ricki (...)          Re: This is cool! —David Simmons
I pass by a used toy consignment shop on my way to work three times a week.
