Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) castle (...) Let me try again, why is Fright Knights "real" castle and Ninja not? Whether they both collectively suck or not is beside the point. Bruce (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) Because FK are firmly rooted in what I see when I fantasize about Castle stuff, both in style of construction and "historical" period. And Ninja is not. Wrong place, wrong time. Same reason Wild West aren't Pirates imo, and as obvious to me. (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) Wild west has nothing to do with sailing ships or pirates, nor does Lego claim that it is part of the Pirates line. If you are going to attempt a parallel, try Islanders, which was officially part of the Pirate line. Ninja has castles, swords, (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Whether (...) Never mind US we're just Anglo Saxon, or European, or Celtic Barbarian's! If things aren't our way..... We make them OUR way! So take no offence when we think OUR way is always right! hehe :) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) Hey, hey! Who the heck is claiming Celts are barbarians? :-) Bruce (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) As far as Castle vs. Ninja, it's debateable as to whether or not Ninja belongs in the same sub-theme. As far as being eastern/western, I think I'd agree for the most part except for the one key difference of having guns. That seems to put the (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) I'm not trying to attempt a parallel. I know WW has nothing to do with sailing ships or pirates. You didn't understand what I tried to say. WW is as much NOT Pirates to me as Ninja is NOT Castle. (...) It's a Castle subtheme because Lego says (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) I do understand what you are trying to say, I just don't see your logic as compelling in any way. (...) to (...) I've said a number of times this isn't about whether it sucks or doesn't suck. You said it isn't real Castles - that's all I'm (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) Really? Wow. (...) Oh, ok. Well, like someone reminded me - you're entitled to your opinion. You're wrong, of course, but you're certainly entitled to to be wrong if you want to be. :) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: More news on 2000 lineup!

(...) Gosh, now I'm really impressed. Golly gee. (...) suck. (...) And....that's it? Not willing or simply unable to defend your opinion? Just a sneering dismissal? Perhaps you shouldn't be calling people "doofus", if that's the best you can muster. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)

As I recall, Ninja replaced Castle, but it was never said it was (or was not) the same theme), and we both (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.castle)
