Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) Only gripe I've got with a bow and arrow is that there's always an arrow nocked and drawn. Peasants may have known how to use a bow and arrow, but they generally didn't wander through town with an arrow ready to let fly. :) I'd like to see (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) Well, they're easier to make than a crossbow, certainly - and cheaper. Crossbows are probably easier to hit things with, but they're big and heavy and not something you'd want to carry around all day. (...) True. On the other hand, I regard (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) The Mega Bloks Viking armor has a little ring which acts as a sheath. (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Castle is Completed

(...) Great stuff! Quest's and comm's...: I admire your innovative use of pieces. Ninja doors for roofs, swinging "portcullis" doors, and spears for jail cells... very unconventional, which makes it special and cool! Any chance we can see one (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) That is something I mentioned probably 2 years ago in a very long rant about some things that LEGO could do to make things a little more realistic... I believe I was looking at a playmobil catalog just before posting that message.. I'm sure a (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) yeah, you should only modify lego by "accident" you can use it if it was broken by accident. :) josh (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) I use the same technique. Also, there is an old Fabuland "Saddlebags" piece that came with a motorcycle (I think?) that works great for this (funny, saddlebags work for making saddlebags? Who would've thought!). If you've never seen this (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: My Castle is Completed

(...) The top base is just a piece of plywood painted green. That won't be the final base, but I used it just so I could get some pictures posted. It will eventually be smaller when I'm finished. (...) Thanks! I will try to get it built as soon as (...) (24 years ago, 5-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What about the SW Mini Fig sets?

(...) I don't know any more than you do, but this is sweet! The Emperor is prety cool! I'm thinking of buying a few of the Emperor, Maul, Vader ones to make some evil castle guys! Does the emperor have the same torso as Maul? His arms kinda in the (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle)

Re: What about the SW Mini Fig sets?

(...) Just asking: Where did you see these packs? I only found the 3 Darths and the Han/Fett/Emporer sets at that site. You're right, though; 3 Pit Droids in a set is a dumb idea. If they do a lot more, I am hoping for one with Mara Jade, but I know (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) Actually, I believe the accuracy of longbows is much greater than that of crossbows. Crossbows are kind of crude and brute force - no finesse. However, because they have much more force (the bolts are heavy), they are used to penetrate armour. (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What about the SW Mini Fig sets?

(...) star wars, and haven't been there yet, go to From Bricks to Bothans (URL) this is a great site, good job Tim! now, when are we gonna see the rest of the ATST? <<KM>> (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) I'm just wondering why a villager would carry around a crossbow? First, they're way out their price range, and second, they're too complicated. A bow is pretty easy to make, and is free. Crossbows were pretty much used in the military. Jeff is (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do peasants carry around in your town?

(...) Whoops, i mean Chris is right , a longbow has much greater accuracy than a crossbow. (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What about the SW Mini Fig sets?

(...) The last two sorts aren't visible, but they're on the front page at (URL) I'm almost positive that the phone guy misspoke or the data entry person goofed up. TLG doesn't have a pit droid mould, and there's nothing about them that can't be (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle)

  Black Halbards

The title pretty much says it all except that yes they were in 8510 Lava :^) Mike Oh, the Trans-Blue spears are neat also :^) All other themes are just spare parts for Castle! (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Black Halbards

(...) Yes, please do get some pics up. I could use a bunch of those... -Chris (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What about the SW Mini Fig sets?

Actually, the Emperor is only interesting in that we'll get another kind of face design. All the other pieces look the same. The 'fig also bears out the theory (and preference) of some Lugnetters that all SW minifig heads, including Lando, should be (...) (24 years ago, 6-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle)

(...) <snip> I've been meaning to ask this for a while: What does Boba Fett's head look like, exactly? Color? Face design? Greg Majewski (URL) (24 years ago, 7-May-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.castle)
