I've been looking on the 'net for some details...I haven't yet found a
picture of the famous "London Bridge" but that might be an interesting one
for you to think about.

If it's the main entrance...D! The real medieval London Bridge actually
had houses and shops running along the sides(!) Of course, that was a
bridge that basically all traffic from the south of England had to pass
over to get into London itself. I'm not sure if you want something that
big...

At least B. If it's anywhere near the borders, C. If it's smack in the
center of your country, there's much less chance of armies marching up to

You might ponder making one part of the bridge a drawbridge also.
