  Re: Hi, I'm New!

(...) Might as well throw myself into the throng! :-) I'm 12, being the second youngest poster on Lugnet. I too have lurked around Lugnet, and am not a member yet. (Lego first, Lego memberships second) Welcome! John Kruer (p.s) i'm gladd you dont (...) (23 years ago, 19-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.ca.bc.vic)

Even Youngsters add to the quality of Lugnet....

(...) Wow!!! I must say that you guys are really impressing me. John, I hope you are able to make a "live" edition of the articulating train...if that is your wish. That would be monster cool. William, I would definitely like to see some of your (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.ca.bc.vic)

The Nameless and a new House

Sadly I have let my story slide for a long time now. I promised to update it to part 5, and my new digital camera seemed to promise progress, but alas, nothing has happened. My senior year of college has left me without motivation of any kind, and (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle) !

I know it's been brought up before, humor me.

So... as I continue on working on getting chapters for my story published, I get suggestions such as adding pictures to the chapters of my story that don't have any, or adding more fluff to the chapters that have pictures already. However, before I (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

(...) rulz.....and its cool to see it played out with pictures....i think you do awesome work....keep it up....I'm still trying to get my story together....its taking awhile.....but i'll have it up sooner or later.....oh did i mention your dragons (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Nameless and a new House

(...) Lenny, Awesome job. Well noted about the roofs. I am partial to tan plates (representing thatch) as opposed to black slopes as a medieval roof. Black LEGO bricks rub me the wrong way in general. It is hard to distinguish any detail - (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Use of HP School Torsos

Does anyone know of a good use for the Harry Potter school torsos? (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: I know it's been brought up before, humor me.

(...) I guess I just feel you got a little deeper into the story line in the chapters without pictures. I like the progression you've done from the start of the story with only have one picture and some text on a page to having 3 or 4 pictures and (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Use of HP School Torsos

stick them under 'European Armour' :) following a thread here a while ago I tried brassoing (is that a word) off everything but the crest, but it looks a bit odd down there on its own. May look OK with some UFO armour on top. I'll have to check -- (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Use of HP School Torsos

(...) Yeah. These work pretty well If you want to make your own wizard task force for your medieval villiages, or extra peasants. I usually just place a beard over the torsos, and presto! Instant wizard! Just my two brickz.... <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: I know it's been brought up before, humor me.

(...) I read the stories for a number of these reasons. It depends on various factors. I'll initially look at pretty much any story posted here. But I am primarily here for Lego. So generally, if I don't see any Lego then I very quickly leave. If I (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

2 MOCs - creature contest entry plus Orthanc

Hi all, Reposting to the correct group this time. I finally got the pieces gathered to finish off two MOCs and took pictures. Both of these are for my Tolkien project, but I'm submitting the eagle for the Kingdom of Ikros Create a Creature Contest. (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.castle)

Re: I know it's been brought up before, humor me.

(...) I have to agree here. Lego is what it is all about. Without lego its just stories, and then i judge them on literary talents, which makes them difficult because they aren't written as literary stories. we aren't here for short story workshop. (...)   update on story

only three more houses to cover until I am caught up with what is available to me right now. Later on in the year, I already know of two at least two more that will have to be obtained and added later this year, but for now, just three more. (URL) (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: I know it's been brought up before, humor me.

I mainly read stories for the "eye candy". I haven't gotten around to creating my own story or joining the IOM because to me personally, lego is about building stuff, not making stories with minifigs. I'll be honest and I say I haven't really read (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Nameless and a new House

(...) i think im going to use yellow bricks on my next project, a kinda bright thatch roof. in the ldraw version (to be posted soon) i did a brown slope roof. i used black roof because it is the only color that i had enough of to build the whole (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

  Chapter Four has arrived!

Hey guys and gals, After weeks of promising, here it is, the fourth chapter in the chronicles of Velaria! It's been added to my site: (URL) the Chronicles section, but if going there on your own is too much work, here's a direct link: (URL) always, (...)   Is lugnet.castle the place for stories?

I'll address the issue in which Magnus and Lenny hinted at in other posts: There have been a *lot* of stories written in the past few months. Without mentioning names, the "fathers" of picture/non-picture storytelling have been able to capture the (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Is lugnet.castle the place for stories?

I must say that I agree with you, Kyle. Not to say that I don't enjoy a good story! In fact, I enjoy writing my own! (Although I've been rather slack about that, now haven't I...) I think it would be best if the admins made a castle.ballads as well (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.castle)
