...and grey bricks didn't become generally available until Legoland Space in
1979 (in Australia)(I remember seeing my first grey 2x4 brick* then!)... and
they didn't become that common (not that they've ever really been common)
for a while after that.
IIRC Legoland Space was released prior to Castle in the US, though.

*I'd had the old pre Technic grey gear wheel 2x4 brick with 7 holes, but a
solid 4x2 was a real novelty.
