Well, you might want to be aware that you're violating LUGNET Terms of
Use... I'm not trying to be mean about it or anything... but you're required
to give your real life name. Now, I know that normally people don't read the
terms of use for things, but still... not only does it appear here:
http://www.lugnet.com/admin/terms/agreement
: Term 4:
: (do not) Post using a pseudonym, alias, screen-name, handle, alter-ego,
: meno, or any other type of name which is not your own or which hides your
: true identity, unless your real name and identity is clearly understood,
: accepted, and documented by the community as the true identity behind such
: messages.
...but also, when you set up to post, you are asked to provide your
real-life name, which appears on all your messages.
( http://news.lugnet.com/news/post/setup/ , under "Real-Life Name")
So by putting in a handle for your real-life name, you are violating one of
the most basic rules that lugnet has.
The thing is, you can use a handle, and a lot of people do and are well
known by their pseudonyms (e.g. Sproaticus, Lorbaat, etc.) but at the same
time, their real names are also known (in those cases - Jeremy Sproat and
Eric Joslin).
I hope that explains a bit... just so you know, too, I'm not going to
enforce this rule, I'm not an admin of lugnet, but if Todd sees this he can
easily revoke your right to post.
The same thing holds for Castle World, BTW - gotta have your real-life name
to join.
