  Re: Is this for real?

(...) It looks like Tyco. No LEGO on the studs you can see, and what looks like 1/2 thickness plates. This could be a construct using a variety of bits & pieces (megablocks, Tyco, Lego), but I don't think it is lego, and I really doubt Duplo. Think (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: who wants to buy my whole collection

(...) First of all, this should be in the .market hierarchy, if it's serious. Second of all, you need more specific information that that. Photos, inventories, and so forth would help; at that, why not open a BrickLink shop, where you will get the (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Windmill

(...) We'll see I guess. If it burns out in a few days, that's bad. If it lasts several 100 hours, that's good neough for me. I'll post if (when) it dies. (...) This is determined by the miller. These old style mills (unlike electric power (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: who wants to buy my whole collection

(...) Let me tell you something about College. If you can't get at least $1,000-$2,000 for your collection, I wouldn't bother selling it, it won't make a dent in the debt you're going to accrue, unless you stay at home and get all your meals free, (...)   Re: who wants to buy my whole collection

(...) I love collages. I have atleast 2 in my room. One is of racecars, the other is of pirate ships. I used to hate when I had to make them for school, cutting up magazines, pasting it together. I was never good at scissors, because I am (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: who wants to buy my whole collection

(...) Well, collage (sic) isn't for everyone (neither, apparently, is grammar), but if you must sell, it might be a good idea to post a few pics of the entire collection to give potential buyers a better idea of what you're offering. JOHN (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Medieval Windmill

(...) I like the rounded top. As I said on the COLTC list I have concerns about the long term durability of the MicroMoter due to torque loading, but hey, if it works it works. I didn't see how this mill determines which way to face, though... (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Is this for real?

(...) Hi Rob I really hope you are right! But if it is Photoshop it is well done. It reminds me also of the Fisherprice toy knights. Chris (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Windmill

Well, the two others have said most of what there is to say on specific compliments, so all I have to do is ad my great job! Keep it up! One suggestion: have an interior, complete with grindstone powered by the sails. I would like this a little (...) (20 years ago, 29-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Is this for real?

(...) Although it looke like that cauldron over the gate has a hay bail in it. Maybe the guys in the castle are trying to feed their enemies' horses. That would be OK for 3 year olds. ; ) (20 years ago, 29-May-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.duplo)

(...) and its Duplo!!!! and that's odd, 'cos I think that 3 year olds are a little young for the boiling oil over the gate detail !!! JB (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Is this for real?

Found this while browsing Brickshelf. Supposed to be from a German LEGO catalog, but this castle's elements look SOOO un-LEGO. (URL) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Featherbeds

Very nice work. I'm always trying out new bed designs in The Brick Testament, and these are some of the nicest designs I've come across. Here's to excellence in minifig scale furnishings. -Brendan (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Windmill

(...) Snipped pic, kept link... ah, dialup... (...) Nicely done Paul. I especially like how you tpered the tower with the walls tilted in. That's something I wouldn't have attempted without having seen it; the gaps are much smaller than one would (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Medieval Windmill

(...) Thanks! Well, you started this......When I saw your medieval houses last winter, I knew I just had to do it. As a long item train fan (but a castle collector for many years), I knew that the time had come to dive into castle. I build 5 (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Medieval Windmill

(...) Nice. I'll be borrowing some ideas from your's when I get around to reworking mine. I'm not sure about the yellow roofed house in that same gallery. Any background for us on it? I look forward to the pics from this weekend's show. Jason Spears (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
