The base is octagonal, as is the main body. The top can turn 360 degrees, so it can be turned in and out of the wind. in absence of wind, it is powered by a micromotor :) , speed of the blades is therefore relatively realistic.

Here is a pic, click on it to go to my brickshelf folder:

It will be on display at this weekends’ Marcon show (post about that will follow).

Nice. I’ll be borrowing some ideas from your’s when I get around to reworking mine. I’m not sure about the yellow roofed house in that same gallery. Any background for us on it?

I look forward to the pics from this weekend’s show.

Thanks! Well, you started this......When I saw your medieval houses last winter, I knew I just had to do it. As a long item train fan (but a castle collector for many years), I knew that the time had come to dive into castle. I build 5 medieval houses last January (some pics have appeared, but I have not shot them individually yet). When I build the townhall, I knew I had to build (and wanted too), some more houses. Two weeks ago I picked up on making more castle buildings, mainly for a show in Cleveland July 3 (and future shows). It kinda got out of hand, and i build 12 or so more. I have 17 or so right now. I’ve loaned them to the club for display this weekend, except for 1 that I finished yesterday evening. When shooting pics of the windmill, I shot a few of the yellow roof house too. This yellow roofed one is one of the smallest ones, but it uses a lot of HTF pieces. My other ones are generally larger, but cheaper. Last sunday I was challenged to link our castle display with our space display at Marcon (this weekends’ show), so the product, a medieval monorail station, was build that evening....Pictures in a few days.

Paul
