  Re: X-Pod Dragons

(...) Nifty. The legs are cute. ~Kevin Blocksidge, who needs to get some X-Pods of his own (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Medieval Townhall

(...) Thanks!! My camera may not be that good, or your screen ;) , but the color in the brown posts is regular blue and regular read (cheap!) (...) Yes, I did have the idea. I then bought the tiles (months ago), for this reason, but someone else a (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)

  X-Pod Dragons

(URL) I got a set of X-Pods the other day and decided to build something out of each pod. The Blue and Yellow turned into fairly un-inspired Jet and Car - but with the red I decided to build a dragon. I was inspired by Dave Eaton's (URL) from (...)   Re: Medieval Townhall

(...) Beautiful! Simply beautiful! The main color scheme (old)brown/tan is always a winner. And with a bit of medium blue and dark red works very well indeed. Wow, and that roof is GREAT! (Never seen it before, your idea?) I'm amazed how you made it (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)

The Home of Lord Marshal Leonhart

(URL) The Home of my sigfig, Lord Marshal Leonhart. After Castle Julian was destroyed following the Delta Earthquake (on the way to pdx :o( ), Leonhart decided to build a slightly less expensive, less if-it-falls-apart-yo...ot-totally screwed home (...)   Re: Medieval Townhall

(...) Awesome roof! never got the chance to do so. It confirms that the idea is well worth the effort and parts needed to build it! The whole thing is simply astonishing. One of the best and largest castle creation I've seen in a while. But since I (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Re: Medieval Townhall

(...) (sarcasm) No, Paul, that just too lame to be included. I don't hink we'll have room for it. You'll have to do better! (/sarcasm) Seriously though, it looks great Paul and I'd be greatful to have it for the July Display. Should fit in nicely (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX)

  Medieval Townhall

As I am primarily a town and train builder, occasionally I wander off into other themes. Over the easter weekend, I made a Medieval Townhall. If deemed worthy by Troy, it will be shown in his Cleveland show early July. Here is are two pics: (2 URLs) (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.loc.us.oh, FTX) !!

  Re: Blue Castle, a 25 year-old MOC

Hey Prof, Welcome to .castle. This is a great creation and so much better when you consider this was done by a kfol with a limited palette before the advent of the internet. I really like the way it is all accessible, especially that staircase. Also (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Great Tower

(...) Excellent build, James. Lovely details, lots of fun. I was agreeing with the 'couldn't be a set' reasoning, and then I thought 'Why not?' What .castler, or kid who is into castles, wouldn't want this set?(1) No, it wouldn't be a big seller, (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Blue Castle, a 25 year-old MOC

(...) Thanks Mark, That reminds me of a thought I had for a contest or just a simple challenge, although, this is kand of what people are doing by seeing what they can build out of a specific set. How about building something using only parts (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: New Casle Sets

(...) I completely agree with your son, the new Castle sets look awful!!! Ok, apart from the new helmets (which might be OK) these sets look like they were designed by an idiot. There's certainly a case here to be made against the over (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Blue Castle, a 25 year-old MOC

(...) Hey Jeff, Thank you so much. I am, of course, proud of this castle; I've showed it to many people over the years, but it's strange to finally share it with my peers (not necessarily chronological peers as 'peers of interest') and not be so (...)   Re: Question for the castle MOC'rs.........

(...) I'll echo Leo: research. Look through Brickshelf for castles, check out the links on the castle sidebar - Robert Carney's site is particularly inspiring (and intimidating!) as a guide to modeling real castles with Lego; Sava's Ikros stuff (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Last Minute Additions

(...) In the modern vernacular, one might call him a pooper-scooper. The term does make you wonder if there was perhaps some secret reason for naming a well-known TV series "The Gong Show". (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Question for the castle MOC'rs.........

(...) Hey Jeff, Use less grey << Joshua I kinda like the old grays and due to the massive amount that we have I am kinda stuck using them.........not that it's a bad thing. Once I get all the other colors incorporated into the creation it may not (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Last Minute Additions

(...) Hey Anthony, I like them. I have just one question. What's a gong farmer? cool models, Joshua (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Question for the castle MOC'rs.........

(...) Hey Jeff, Use less grey. Add fewer windows to your castle. Not all castles were grey. Some were blue or red or even purple. Hope that helps, Joshua (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Question for the castle MOC'rs.........

(...) Hi Jeff, The only thing I can say is, look at pictures of some (real) English or French castles. Read a book about their construction. A very good book is Sidney Toy’s "Castles, their construction and history". Think of a castle as a strong (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Question for the castle MOC'rs.........

I need a little help from some of you castle builders out there. After several attempts at my first, I am struggling a bit to say the least. All of my castles look like a building with a castle theme! I'll start to build, take it apart, change (...) (20 years ago, 11-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle)
