That reminds me of a thought I had for a contest or just a simple challenge, although, this is kand of what people are doing by seeing what they can build out of a specific set. How about building something using only parts available before a certain date? I know that my last LEGO purchase before building this castle, would have been in 1977. So, there’s a limited palette by today’s standards. That would be a way for anyone to recreate that classic feel. Anyway, just a thought...

There’s nothing like leaving something on a shelf for a few years to get that ancient, cobwebbed look. It actually happens surprisingly fast around here. We have central forced air heating to thank for the dust...
