  Re: Rants about Bricks

(...) Some people inside LEGO may be aware of the existence of AFOLs, but most of the company does not seem to care about this potential market. Learning new paradigms is something especially large companies are more or less incapable of. For years, (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

Excellent Job Anthony, but I do have a bone to pick with you here....what's with the cloth wings?!?! That doesn't look like Lego to me...I was hoping someone else had finally come up with a strong stable reptillian wing design. :( I guess I wait (...)   Rants about Bricks

(...) I stumbled on this article accidentally and it intrigues me. I agree that LEGO is most likely aware of what many afol's want. Sometimes they do give us these things. However, it usually is because that piece is necessary for them in a set, not (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

(...) Hi George, I like your watchtower. The little dock and natural stone steps are neat. The entrance doors are beautiful (when is Lego going to make 1x4x6 doors in brown?!!!) Your sailboat is also very cool. I like the massiveness of the tower. (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  The Watchtower at Fjordthrotte

"Hello boat, come to and show yourself. Be warned, if you try anything, you will have an arrow shaft in your chest before you can lift your bow!" "Hush Bjarne, if I meant to harm to you and the garrison, you would be sprouting arrows from your eyes (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Inn at the OLde Road

(...) Thank you for your statement! (...) More like off-colour stones, like the ones printed on some of those 'ready-made' castle walls. (...) Yes and no :-) - It does open, each level of each building and the roofs themselves are seperate modules. (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The Inn at the Olde Road & Rants about Bricks

(...) I took the (long) weekend to actually start the second part. My main problem at the moment ist to provide adaequate table space for the model, as the first part is about 80x80cm (96x96 studs), and the second part is about 50x120cm (64x144 (...) (21 years ago, 23-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Lego of the Five Rings Battlescene

(...) I realize this is over 1.5 years gone, but being an L5R fan myself, I couldn't resist commenting. I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who's dabbled in L5R MOC-ness. (...) And the Dragon Clan is by far the coolest... ;P (...) (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle.ninja)

  Re: A Classic Confrontation

A great way to end a battle! All armies should resolve their differences this way! Stephen (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Clear Horses? Clear Minifigs?

(...) I'd go more on the side of never to be released. Although I'm assuming that could change... I think TLC wouldn't be too keen on them being obtained by non-employees. This is all conjecture/opinion though. (2 URLs) (Bruce) (URL) LEGO @ Bruce's (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: The lonely tower MOC

Good tower! I like the way you used the 4x3x6 tower/wall pieces in the top, and the way you used hinges to make the octagon shape of the top floor. Nice work, will you make a castle to go with it? Stephen (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) What can I say, I'm obsessed. (...) I posted a page a day or so after I posted the dragon. Did you happen to see it? There are more pictures with other poses in them. Here's a link in case you didn't: (URL) If you did, then, I'm not sure how (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) Thanks much! I'm glad you liked him! I have to admit I am rather proud of him. Every once in a while I catch myself looking over at him just to gawk. I gotta stop doing that! Thanks for the reply! --Anthony (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: More Poses, Construction Pics too

(...) You flatter me too much. Comming from you it's a true compliment. However, I have a feeling this is as big as I'm going to be building, so my kingdom will have to get comfortable with it's new glass ceiling ;) (...) I'm surprised at how many (...)   Re: More Poses, Construction Pics too

(...) Wow... Thanks! :) (...) You'd be surprised. The number of technic bricks I used is actually pretty low, since I was doing my best not to have any exposed technic holes or anything. I ended up just using basic 1x and 2x bricks for the majority (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The lonely tower MOC

(...) Hey Erick, Nice tower! It would look really good on top of a big castle. Yours is the first use of the Hagrid's Hut roof that I have seen. It pretty much will only work on a tower, I think. Good job! Josh (21 years ago, 22-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle)

  The lonely tower MOC

Here's something I built a month or so ago, I finally got my camera a new battery and I think I'll tear this apart. Anyways, just a simple tower with a magical room inside. Nothing spectacular, just experimenting with an octagonal shape. Enjoy! (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) Well, I must say...leave it to Anthony to generate a wicked draconic project, scales included. (...) Well, that seems to have been accomplished...the only concern now is movement articulation. Can this dragon be set in a variety of poses (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: More Poses, Construction Pics too

(...) Mr Sava, I am humbled and bedazzled all at the same time. I am so glad there is a person like you creating these Dragons. Not only is your desire to learn honest, but I see you having so much fun doing so. This newest creation will surely add (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
