  Re: Trebuchets

(...) Well with everyone having so much fun on the topic I had to add my two bricks. (URL) 9v Battery Boxes(with bat's). I was interested in seeing if the adding of wheels (mentioned on Nova) made diff on range. Not much with out a sling but... It (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

(...) Well, I couldn't bring myself to cut a LEGO net down to size (nor tie knots in LEGO string) so I did the next best thing which seemed to be to make my own net. I've always enjoyed knots and splicing, and my son is getting into it too via Boy (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: The first Mobile Medieval Market shop! With Elephant!

Hey Nathan, Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was out of town this weekend. (...) That is why I posted this quickly. I afraid someone would beat me to it! Where you thinking of making a shop selling elephants? If so, rights or no rights, I was thinking (...) (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

(...) I've uploaded 2 new picures: (2 URLs) to my Brickshelf folder: (URL) The first picture shows the new braided sling on the trebuchet and the second is a close-up of just the sling.   Summer Break

Hi everyone, I am just writing to say that this summer I will not be around lugnet much because of limited internet access. I might not be able to post and respond to discussion at .castle much. I'll catch up with everyone in the fall. Ben (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

(...) That's where my trebuchet wouldn't work, that darned sling! The shape of the trebuchet was right and I used two weight bricks for ballast, but it was the sling that stumped me! Any pics of the new sling? Nathan Lord Of The LEGO (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Ballista

(...) mine, and you've given my lots of ideas. If you ever take it apart, take more pics so we can see how to build it. Thanks, George (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Revenant Tree and Direwolves

I love those wolves! Like somebody already said, that is truly the best use the wolf head I've ever seen, even better than a werewolf minifig. And they're so simple, I love it. I like the detail to the back feet giving them claws with the 1x1 clip. (...) (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Castle World @ BrickFest

Sadly, it has been a long time since I last posted to the castle.org.cw group. And most of you probably wouldn't know that I am a LEGO Castle fan and builder unless you went to BrickFest 2000. 2000 (URL) year BrickFest dedicates a room to the Castle (...)   Re: Trebuchets

As I mentioned I wanted to do in my other post, I've changed to a braided sling pocket and it made a big difference, both in ease of setup and distance. It now throws about 6 feet. Time to see what sling length and end hook gives the best (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Revenant Tree and Direwolves

(...) Outrageous but unique...well, I must say you hit originality perfectly with these, Mr. Comeau. (...) I found some interest specifically in those direwolves ...although I'm still wondering if you could improve on that design in some way? As you (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Farm MOC.

(...) Great Stuff, I just got around to looking at this and must say I like it a lot. I always like lego models involving a whole scene, especially with water and greenery... Keep up the great work! God Bless, Nathan (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

Re: The first Mobile Medieval Market shop! With Elephant!

(...) Very nice... But now everyone will say I copied you when I post my 'Elephant shop' (all rights to idea reserved : ) ). Seriously though, very good. I like the way you tied it in with your existing shop instead of making a new one. Thanks for (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Medieval Marketplace Town Square (with 20 shops)

Hi, First off I gotta say sorry for not replying. I thought I did before I spent the week net free... (...) Thanks! (...) Hopefully something better instead : ) But I won't see these pieces again for a few months (they're in NZ). (...) Funny you (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.castle)

New (and old) MOCs: Church, castle interior and more

(URL) church is ancient meets modern head on - a ruin rejuvenated with walls of glass and a nave converted to a walled garden. I've also added two shots of the castle interior - the Great Hall with its weapons on the wall, hammer-beamed roof, statue (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Trebuchets

I've only gotten it to throw a few feet with the soccer ball. The mini-figs can spit farther! An area that needs serious attention is the sling pocket. The piece of plastic that I'm using now is too slippery and a soccer ball has trouble staying in (...) (21 years ago, 17-May-03, to lugnet.castle)
