| (...) To me, the reasons are mainly "historical": the first way to get better images than the output of Ldraw/MLCad/LeoCAD (which is not that bad for instructions!) was POV-Ray. L3PAO then LPub did a lot to push POV as the renderer of choice. Add to (...) (17 years ago, 9-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

Prefering legibility over realism (though a bit of "realism" is still needed to even recognize the shapes), I put down some universal rules for creating instructions of virtually any (...) | | POV 3.5, Radiosity, and Multiple Passes??
| I'm rendering an image at 800x600 in POV-Ray 3.5 right now, on an old 400mhz (ouch!) computer. It's using radiosity settings Jeroen de Haan provided to me over email. I've done other renders with these settings successfully, that usually take about (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

| | Help with Lgeo and rendering
| What happened to The Lgeo homepage? I haven't used ldraw or pov ray in about 3 months. I had Lgeo on my computer and Pov ray would access it to render a file after I used l3pao. Is there a way to make a render of a dat file without the lgeo parts? (...) (24 years ago, 4-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

| | Povray is not rendering the whole picture
| Hello all I have built a multi part model in Mlcad and then use L3P add on to make a POV file. But it never renders the submodels. What am I doing wrong that makes POV not see the rest of the model? Dave (20 years ago, 19-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad.ray)
