I used something like:
object { _578_dot_dat matrix
<1-SW/8,0,0,0,1-SW/80,0,0,0,1-SW/8,0,SW/2,0> matrix
<0.0170371,-0.991445,-0.12941,-0.00110712,0.12941,-0.991591,0.999854,0.0170371,
0.00110712,-200.127,-399.79,-94.409> #if (version >= 3.1) material #else
texture #end { Color36 }
finish {ambient <10.0, 0.0, 0.0> diffuse 0}}
The bit I added is the finish clause right before the last '}'. BTW, the
original file was generated by L3P with L3PAO.
You can see the effect at
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=11206. I used it on the
lightsaber blade at the tip of the tail. This image is darkened a lot by
adjusting the AMB and or DIF near the top of the L3P generated .pov file.
Good Luck,
Gino A...

| (...) Thanks. :-, That's pretty much what I was doing (actually just using "ambient AMB * 3") -- but while the color becomes more "illuminating" of itself, it doesn't cast much light onto neighboring pieces. Is there a way to do this as well? (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

| Hey all, While being fairly decent at LDrawing stuff, I'm still banging my head against some of the nuances of POVRay. (1) Can anyone help me answer these questions, or point me towards someone who can? a) How do I incorporate Anton Raves' color and (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)
