Hi!
After playing with POV-Ray, radiosity, reflection and focal blur for
some time, I came to results that are quite close to what I want.
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/nicokaiser/cad/modelteam/2556-
front.jpg
It uses LGEO parts, LUGNET colors, custom reflection settings, custom
rubber texture (for the tyres). Ah yes, and I smoothed the meshes for
the tyres, which looked a bit too unrealistic for me.
With 2-pass radiosity settings, it took about 4 hours and a half to
render on a P4 2.8GHz (1600x1200, anti-alias with threshold 0.1), which
I think is quite ok.
You can see all the radiosity magic here:

Any comments / demands for the hi-res version?
Nico.

| (...) That looks great, I'm going to steal your radiosity settings! As I'm a bit new to radiosity (I've attempted it a couple of times), do I just paste the contents of your .txt into the beginning of my .pov file? tim (20 years ago, 16-Sep-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)
