Re: LDraw Radiosity files version 2.3

(...) I keep getting an error when using these new files. In the ldraw_radiosity.inc file, POV-Ray keeps looking for the ending of the last global settings command (line 104). Exactly, it reads parse error: no matching } in 'global_settings', if (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  LDraw Radiosity files version 2.3

Hi all, The LDraw Radiosity files have been updated to version 2.3. Thanks to Willy Tschager for pointing out the missing max_trace_level. You can download the file on the site (www.digitalbricks.nl) but there is no how-to yet. Please read the (...) (21 years ago, 27-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) As additional follow-up, both of these issues may be improved a bit if you use the lugnet color files, assuming you were not already doing so.   Test Post for the LDraw Help Desk

Just a test post to see which sig image looks best to use with LUGNET now that we can add images to our post. =) Sig #1 -Ahui LDraw Help Desk (URL) (Perhaps a bit too small, hu?) (...) I've noticed this effect too, and I wonder if this doesn't have something to do with the Ldraw parts not being modeled as solids, so with transparent pieces you get some artifacts from the reflectivity of the inner and outer surfaces of the (...)   MegaPOV Missing from LPub Menu

I am pretty sure this has been discussed but I can't find it in the LUGNET archive. I have installed POV 3.1 and MegaPOV 0.7 on a fast server along with LPub. (...) LPub post processes the images, and won't be able to do that if you force PNG behind the scenes. I'll resume work on PNG support in LPub.   Re: Converting POV Bitmaps to PNG?

(...) Why not let POVray generate .PNG directly? I know it's possible when you run POV 'by hand', but I don't know if LPub lets you set that option.   Converting POV Bitmaps to PNG?

When I build instructions I like to work with PNG files. Historically I have produced bitmaps with LD-Lite and converted them to PNG with ImageMagick. I am using LPub to drive POV-Ray and the output is also bitmap (BMP). When I run ImageMagick on (...) (21 years ago, 22-Aug-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) I *believe* it's the angle which the surface of the brick is relative to the camera lens.
