  Re: Excellent rendering...

Just wanted to add my 2 cents about the wonderful images that have been posted. I use Bryce for to render my images. Here are two links to images that make use of a modified light dome technique that was posted to Renderosity.com to simulate (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) If you haven't already, check the link that Lars C Hassing posted to the POV-Ray users' forum. The "JRG" person posted his custom colour and finish declarations there. It's interesting to note that he achieves the effect by disposing of the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: lgeo renders wrong part

just to reexplain the problem. 3939 renders as 3942 and 3942 renders as 3943. while 3943 renders as LDraw 3943 because there is no 3943.   Re: Weird Logo Issue at L3P Quality Level 3

(...) I dunno... I'm still coming to grips with the whole BFC thing, so this subpart whatsit doesn't seem like too much extra typing! That reminds me--is BFC-compliance mandatory for new parts submissions, or is it simply a good idea? I confess that (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: lgeo renders wrong part

(...) You have to modify the *.inc files in your LGEO installation. An easy way to resolve the problem with part 3939 would be to rename/delete the file lg_3939.inc. When L3P can't find this file, it will use the regular LDraw 3939.dat as the basis (...) (22 years ago, 9-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  LGEO 6x6 webbed dish fix

There is an error in the LGEO version of 4285.dat lg_4285.inc has only 6 web divisions, instead of the 8 that occur in the true LEGO part. I corrected this for my personal use some time ago, and just recently this issue has come up on lugnet. So (...) (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) was what was holding the yellow mini-fig up in the air. :-) I think it qualifies as a quite realistic image. You might want to look into the blur around the black mini-fig. It looks a bit strange on the white background. Play well, Jacob (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Excellent rendering...

(...) Read the LDraw FAQ! On the page: (URL) can read that for the colour "silver" you should use the LDraw colour number 383. Play well, Jacob -- Sal Colibri (from Roger Leloup's "Yoko Tsuno"): (URL) (22 years ago, 7-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) [snip] Yes, that would certainly work. And for correct alignment of studs, it will sometimes be the only answer. For example, some parts (30373 is one of them) use mirror symmetry to create a subpart that is a fraction (like 1/4 or 1/8) of the (...) (22 years ago, 6-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Weird Logo Issue at L3P Quality Level 3  [DAT]

Re: Weird Logo Issue at L3P Quality Level 3
