  Re: lgeo library

(...) 1) Are you using POV-Ray 3.1g? 2) Did you provide POV-Ray with the following in the commandline? +L<LGEO file path> NO SPACE BETWEEN +L and <LGEO file path> 3) Can you send me your POV file and your .ldr file to me so I can see. -AHui LDraw (...) (22 years ago, 2-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: lgeo library

actually, that didn't help. i think i must have test that commandline and run on a non lgeo model and was fooled. I just was playing with it and still get an error at the line that starts #macros // Color manipulation macros // Takes Hue value as (...) (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  lgeo library

i don't think that i'm getting the lgeo library to work. I check -l when i convert the file, and render with the with a command line for the lgeo library, it errors at the third line below that starts #macros. any suggestions. I'm just getting (...) (22 years ago, 1-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: L-GEO

(...) Only one small problem which I SHOULD have caught when I edited the tutorial. Nowhere does it say HOW TO USE LGEO Library parts. =( Jeroen do you have time to add a section on how to use the LGEO library files. Rene Virsik for now here is a (...) (22 years ago, 31-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  L-GEO

Heya all, I'm using ML-CAD and POV-Ray for my virtual models (I will present them later) but now I would like to render them with LGEO library parts. I just downloaded the ZIP file of this library but now I need to know a few details. Where should (...) (22 years ago, 30-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: invisible transparent part

thanks for the heads up to check the part. I checked in MLCAD, and the part was set to ghosted. Here is the rendering: (URL) canopy is temp until the actual part is released.   Re: invisible transparent part

(...) Are you using the LGEO switch in L3P? If so, and there is an LGEO file for the canopy, and that file is corrupt in some way, maybe the definition of the part is not being included in the POV output - try turning off the LGEO switch and see if (...) why does the canopy of my space pod disappear in my rendering when I render using pov-ray. -tk (22 years ago, 29-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Excellent rendering...

(...) Adding a focal length won't make a POV rendering look that good, though. The reason it looks so good is because the renderer that rendered it appears to be very very good.   Re: Excellent rendering...

(...) My words exactly. It is only the segmented surfaces on the round brick in the foreground that reveals that it is a rendering. - Okay. There is also a revealing lack of ridges between the bricks. (...) Yes. Has POV-Ray implemented rendering (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

(...) To put this into perspective, the Brazil Artist Bundle is $1200, which includes one workstation license and two render node licenses. It is an amazingly good render, though. --Travis Cobbs (tcobbs@REMOVE.halibut.com) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Excellent rendering...

(...) That is a rendering? Wow. I think the slightly out of focus effect, combined with the "area lights" makes the rendering look very credible. If it's done with (Mega)POV-Ray, I bet the rendering was pretty CPU intensive... Fredrik (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)
