I recently started using MLCad myself. I too found it a little tough to get
started. I actually make sure that I sit down with a completely or somewhat
built model. This helps me to visual what I am making on the screen.
I would also make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of MLCad
(v. 2.3), as it has a much better positioning system from what I can tell.
There are also some other great features.
I would say just keep plugging away at it. The learning curve is kinda steep
at first, but once you get over the hump, it becomes really easy. I have
actually made using MLCad part of my standard design process now!
