  Re: Win ver 0.72

(...) The place where the new brick is added is relative to the current position of the camera, it really should be closer to the other bricks but I haven't figured out a way to do that. (...) That's a bug in LGEO, take a look at the airplane from (...) (26 years ago, 21-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Win ver 0.72

Hi All, LeoCad has come a long way! I have been using it for quite a while. I have a couple User comments 1) When I "drop" a new block into a model can it be placed on top of, or very near, the last brick? Currently I believe that it is placed with (...)   Re: New LeoCAD version

(...) From the little X programming (and no GTK) I have done the only way I can think of is set up a event call back (I believe GTK calls them signals) for the Press and Release of the CTRL key, and use this callback to toggle a flag somewhere. Not (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

(...) That's a bug, I'll fix it. Do you know how to find out if a key is pressed ? :) (...) You shouldn't use the Mesa beta versions they are very buggy and 3.1 already has an official version, you should upgrade. (...) Please send me the errors, it (...)   Re: New LeoCAD version

(...) Ok, I am not crazy. I would have assumed that a CTRL click would allow you to select multiple objects, but it does not work on my machine. It only unselects what is selected, and selects the new peice. I am running on a RH6.0 system, nothing (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: New LeoCAD version

(...) That's how it works under Windows, because the dialog that asks for the group name was missing from previous versions, you couldn't create a group. To add a part to a group, you have to select the group, hold the CTRL key down, click on the (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: New LeoCAD version

All, This is a quick review of the .72.0 version of leocad for Linux. First of all, I am not sure if its my imagination or not, but this version seems a little faster than the last. The Grouping is getting better. In .71.?? you could group for just (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

Re: What part set are included?

(...) I have been using LeoCad for Linux for about a week or two now. Very nice. I have already drawn some of the sub parts of RCX robots that I have created. It seems to have Almost every thing tht I used. One noted exception was the large wheels (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

Re: What part set are included?

(...) As you can guess, it's an impossible task to have all parts available but there are almost 1500 parts right now. The RCX is done, as well as some MS sensors and lots of technic parts. Leonardo (26 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  What part set are included?

I tried using LDRAW quickly ... noted I didn't give it much of a chance, but I seemed to have a hard time getting it to draw properly. Parts disappeared and they didn't seem to line up right. It didn't seem like a good solid program. LeoDraw looks (...) (26 years ago, 28-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: Parts library for LeoCAD

(...) I removed it to avoid confusion but it looks like people do not want to wait for the library updates. :) (...) I've never thought of doing that (I can't see a reason for it). The only parts that LeoCAD have that are not included in LDraw use (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: Parts library for LeoCAD

(...) Ok, something like that would be useful to have, I think. I would feel claustrophibic if I couldn't convert new parts into the LeoCAD format. How about the other way around? Can ordinary DAT files be extracted from the LeoCAD format? And can (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Re: Parts library for LeoCAD

(...) Because LeoCAD is (or should be) able to render pictures in realtime, so it uses some optimizations that would be too slow to do with standard LDraw files. It also stores some more information, like the position of the studs and the places (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

  Parts library for LeoCAD

If I'm not mistaken, LeoCAD uses a different parts format than LDraw. Why does it do this? Why not use the native LDraw parts library? (Excuse my ignorance if that applies.) Is it possible to convert LDraw part files to a format understood by (...) (26 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)
