(...) But isn't Ldglite just a viewer, compared to the editor Leocad? That said, it seems to have the advantage of actually working, so maybe Emacs + Ldglite would be a viable way to edit Ldraw files. Last time I tried Leocad it crashed after a (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.leocad)

(...) Ouch! That stings. While it may not be as pretty as LeoCAD (or well documented) ldglite does work on linux. Here's a snapshot of ldglite creating a hose on an old mandrake system. I had no negative returns for my previous parts update (URL) (but I had no positive ones either!), so I have prepared a new part update in-sync with latest LDraw parts. (...) Librairies are not compatible, but you can import Ldraw parts in LeoCAD (File > Parts manager > file > import pieces). You must exist and restart LeoCAD before imported parts are available. As there was no LeoCAD parts updates for a year, I took the bull by the horns and built an update corresponding to LDraw.org Parts Update 2003-02 (no offense, Leonardo, I know what lack of time is!) Ahhhh, Leonardo good to hear from you ! Bad to hear that you lost your program tools, That kind of thing happens at least once to all of us I guess ;-). There are already 2 more ldraw part updates out there and there's still no Leocad version for it. I already send Leonardo an email but he didn't respond, what's happened to him?
