Wouldn't try that.  Too many people don't have VB runtimes installed,
and just throwing them on the CD doesn't work (unless you want to make
people install them first, which is a pain, but could work).

How much of a pain?  Can it be as simple as a window prompting them to give
approval to add them?  Or is it much more painful than that?

Well, I don't like the idea of asking someone to install runtimes
before "my" program will work.  It looks cheesy, I think, and
unprofessional.  And it certainly wasn't an option for the company I
was doing this project for or for me, considering what they were
paying me.  So I sprung for APMSP.

If you're going to charge for the CD, I'd say you shouldn't make
people work to hard to install the stuff, especially to do something
as simple as run a menu.

Being the design nut I am, does it allow pretty much complete freedom as to
how this menu will appear graphically?  I'd like to design the look to fit in
with the HTML guide, which will take on a souped up ldraw.org look with a
little more color (as I see it in my head now).

Download the fully functional trial version.  Won't let you create
installers that don't proclaim "hey, this hasn't been paid for" but I
think you'll like it.

(...) Yeah, I agree here. (...) Ok, will do. I'll at least play around with it to get a feel. Is it WYSIWYG? (I guess I'll find out)... -Tim (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Sounds good, we'll have a better picture of what's needed as far as a menu goes when resources are (...) (25 years ago, 6-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
