 | | BrickDraw3D 0.4 released
|

It's available. It's very cold out here on the outdoor internet park so I can't hardly type much about it. (URL) features since 0.3 include (I think) real useful piece drag-and-drop abilities, floating palettes, inline part command, save as 3dmf (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac) !

 | | Re: Mac LDView possibility

Ok, so I downloaded the frameworks, figured out after awhile that I need to compile them and put them in /Library/Frameworks (got a warning for AJRInterface). Compiled LDView, after fixing the error mentioned earlier, I get this error: (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

In this build, dragging is in full color (not blue.) A new feature is another color palette window: choose the color for a part by dragging it through a color swatch. Duplicate (Cmd-D) is implemented but not great. Still can't drag *out* of a model (...) (24 years ago, 20-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Version 0.3 has been revised again. Parts in parts list drag to model in color (useful). They drag out as full lines of DAT (not much use). No dragging from model view. Betta than the last build (not all are.) (URL) (24 years ago, 17-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Look for bugs, and bugs ye shall find. Get version 0.3 here: (URL) will be updating this number, as the ISP permits, perhaps daily. A version is there now. (24 years ago, 15-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

I have no idea what you two are talking about, but I am glad to see you talking. Keep up the good work! Do you want people to download the BrickDraw "bleeda" to look for bugs, or is it too soon for that kind of thing? Chris (24 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) I got ambitious and refactored the class which intermediates between DAT format and my geometry model. Now that that is done I can get on with extracting stuff from text dragged in from a text editor, and adding color and other data to dragged (...) (24 years ago, 14-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Now parts dragging is implemented for the model! It is at last possible to build. And to save files. I have solved several nasty bugs too. So expect a release in a day. Not so much a "beta" as a "bleeda". -Erik (24 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

It is official and live: (URL) skippy! If no one cares, I am going to change the name to LDMC -- LDraw Mac Community.
