I take that as a challenge!
actually dragging a group is frightening but I think I can just do it
(graphically)
right now I've got no color support whatsoever - everything is blue.

I see strlen() and strtok() are still with us.
I must write a separate class that tries to parse sensible results out of a
hunk of text
