| Hi, Lars, I recently downloaded L3P and went through the instructions, setting the paths for L3P and LDraw. But when I type in the command C:\> l3p car.dat it says, "This program cannot be run in DOS mode". Do you know what I can do to get it (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

| Hi, After some more dicussion, I have come to the following proposal for the license. It's much simpler than Steve's first license but I think it covers all important points. | (...) You must have a MS-DOS Command Prompt window open before you can issue the L3P command. Here is what I have done as a setup for L3P: Search for cmd.exe (probably in your Windows\System32 directory, it is the program that opens the Command (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

| (...) etc.) Don't LDRAW and LEDIT run in "real DOS" mode? They won't understand the long filenames even if you run them from within windows. I'm pretty sure some folks still use LEDIT. | Yes, I run original LDraw.exe from Win 3.1/DOS 6.22 three times a year (in my 486/25 at my parents' home). I also use DOS versions of Arj.exe and PK[Un]Zip in batch procedures and when I want full control. I will probably use a DOS machine when (or (...) (24 years ago, 18-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
