Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) I have tried both. Latest drivers and deleting the specified folder. It seems to hang everyother time. On the alternating runs whne it does not hang on the startup screen it will not show the parts. I have an ATI radeon 7500 AIW. (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Went to IBM and downloaded the latest driver for my laptop's video card (Mobility Radeon 7500). Unfortunately, things seem to have only gotten worse. :( The first couple of times after updating the driver the app *seemed* to work a bit better. (...)   Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) I will check the driver tonight after work. Are there also known issues with laptop keyboards? My cursor keys have no effect on the selected bricks. Thanks! Allan (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Hi Allan, This is a fairly common problem, it is almost always caused by your video card drivers being out of date. You should install the latest ones from your manufacturer's website. If you have an nvidia or ati card you can use their (...) (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

(...) Oops. Try now? (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: ptreleases.cgi - Ready to Roll?

(...) That fixed ptreleasesnew.cgi (the test script), but not ptreleases.cgi (the production script). --Travis (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: ptreleases.cgi - Ready to Roll?

(...) Try now - Steve was rearranging some files, and forgot to update a subroutine call. (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: ptreleases.cgi - Ready to Roll?

(...) It would appear that neither script is working now. --Travis (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) How about an LDraw file to LDD file convertor? Or is that what you meant...one that would translate both ways? :) Has anyone tried using this application? Am I the only one finding it to be a steep learning curve? (...) I'd be happy just to (...) (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) Say (conservatively) these are placed in 1,000 retail outlets worldwide (include S@H as one) Each sells 5 sets per week. Since these are micro, with a small piece count around 100-150, estimate price at about $10 Designer earns 5% of each (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.lego, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) LPRIZE, anyone? :) As far as my students, it'll probably be a case of them designing in whatever package they want (even, gasp, REAL LEGO) and then one or two of them figuring out how to make the design over again in LDD for contest upload. I (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Re: LEGOfactory.com launches... and it's big!

(...) AFAIK, no one yas yet tried to write a LDD file to LDraw file convertor. This might be the thing though, eh? Of course it would be entirely unofficial until and unless LEGO blessed such an effort. One big gotcha is catching that all the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

Interoperability: Conversion from LDRAW to ProE or Inventor 7

Greetings! We are trying to build a trophy part. We will build it using rapid prototyping. To do this we have designed a trophy in ProE (and in Inventor 7). We want a 1x2 brick with a flat plate on top of the brick and the trophy on top of the (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ghost bug in 3.11

(...) I cool with that. It's a whole lot easier for me to make ldglite behave well as a unseen simple renderer, and let LPub handle all the tricky instruction formating macros. The only reason I can see for me to add internal ldglite support for all (...) (20 years ago, 3-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ghost bug in 3.11

(...) time I invoke ldglite and it finishes. This non-interactive render ignores all steps. I'm sure LPub has handled and removed all the CLEAR statements in the process of creating a step DAT. In this scenario, I see no need to use the -D. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 3-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ghost bug in 3.11

(...) I'm a bit lost here. Are you talking about using ldglite to render image files, or render interactively? I ask because -mf and -mF ignore all STEP commands, but only for the non-interactive image file generating usage. There is a -D command (...)
