I’d be happy just to get the palatte(s) to load correctly. The parts *seem* to be there because when I reach into the blank area where they should be visible they seem to get picked up. But I have no idea which part I’m picking up at any given grab. :(

Hi Allan,

This is a fairly common problem, it is almost always caused by your video card drivers being out of date. You should install the latest ones from your manufacturer’s website. If you have an nvidia or ati card you can use their generic drivers from http://www.nvidia.com and http://www.ati.com

After you’ve done that you’ll need to clear your brick cache to reload the bricks and their snapshots from lxf. To do that go to:

C:/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings

and delete the folder called Qubesoft. If you’re running on Windows 98 they’ll be in a different place, look in the readme for more details.

(...) I will check the driver tonight after work. Are there also known issues with laptop keyboards? My cursor keys have no effect on the selected bricks. Thanks! Allan (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

(...) Went to IBM and downloaded the latest driver for my laptop's video card (Mobility Radeon 7500). Unfortunately, things seem to have only gotten worse. :( The first couple of times after updating the driver the app *seemed* to work a bit better. (...) (...) I have tried both. Latest drivers and deleting the specified folder. It seems to hang everyother time. On the alternating runs whne it does not hang on the startup screen it will not show the parts. I have an ATI radeon 7500 AIW. (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

(...) Marc (or anyone!) ... I have another technical question regarding these "brick palletes". I've finally managed to get LDD to run ... after about 9 hours of installing service packs and drivers. Regardless, I was able to use it (relatively) (...) (20 years ago, 14-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

(...) How about an LDraw file to LDD file convertor? Or is that what you meant...one that would translate both ways? :) Has anyone tried using this application? Am I the only one finding it to be a steep learning curve? (...) I'd be happy just to (...) (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)
