I think I have found a bug in the colour selection in LDGLite.

When I render a file consisting of these two lines:

1  4   25 -24 0  1 0 0   0 1 0   0 0 1       3004.dat
1  0  -25 -24 0  0 0 1   0 1 0   -1 0 0      2357.dat
1  1   25  24 0  1 0 0   0 1 0   0 0 1       3004.dat
1  0  -25  24 0  0 0 1   0 1 0   -1 0 0      2357.dat

using the command:

ldglite-run -q -s2 -a1,0,1,-0.5,-1,0.5,1,0,-1 2357-fejl.dat

(the important part is "-q") parts of the cylinders inside the
bricks are coloured in a shade of the colour of the preceeding
brick.

If I remember correctly, we went over the exact same thing about this
time last year.

Same example, but a different problem. :-)

I'm curious, is this part of some holiday model that
you traditionally bring out around this time every year?

:-)

No. It was Steve's publishing of a fresh parts release that
got me started looking through my old bug reports. For some
reason I hit "q" while looking at the example from my old
bug report, and then this strange thing happened. It may be
an Alpha specific problem, since I haven't had a look at it
on an Intel machine yet.

<tries it on an Intel machine>

The problem seems to be Alpha specific. :-(

Anyhow, I guess the updated part was never made official.  I wonder what
happened to it.

It has been made official in the very latest release.

(...) Are you sure it's using the fixed part on the Alpha? Perhaps there is a copy of the old bad part on the search path before the fixed copy. You could check this by using the ledit mode to step through the part to make sure it loaded the correct (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
