I got the source code and tried to compile it using Sun's Java. Unfortunately, the code is using proprietary Symantec widgets, so it won't compile. I wasn't able to get it to run using jre, either, Todd. You didn't do anything wrong. Using the JDK (...) (26 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I've created a Temp page on my server, I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do with this pic yet, other than maybe as an intro page to my Lego site. (...) No, sorry, wrong word, I didn't mean part authors are lazy! Because POV is a ray tracer, it needs to calculate transformations backwards and therefore it calculates inverse matrices. Talk is cheep. I spent the last couple of days trying to pound out a quick Java Ldraw program. Check out the results: (URL) as an Applet is way too slow. Its best to download jre and try it with that: (URL) that this is terribly buggy right now and (...) (26 years ago, 3-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I doubt it's laziness, since a default insertion has a 1 in the yy column. There was talk in the primitives group about using the discs and rings for cones. I've used lines like that a lot, because I've seen them used in other part files, and they seemed to be more elegant than "1 16 x y z 10 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 10 4-4disc.dat" when the primitive is flat in y-direction (...)
