  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

Don: (...) There should definitely be binaries for both DOS, Linux, and MacOS where it is possible. Or maybe no DOS and just MS-Windows? How many OS/2 users do we have? (at least one) (...)   Re: Ldglite/Linux and sub-parts

(...) It's directly under the "parts" directory. Some parts use sub-parts in the s-directory, such as the 32013 and some of the new Technic wheels that Jeff Boen designed. (...) I grabbed it on February 6th. I'll take a look at the new one. Great (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: I need parts, and I can make you famous

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have the tread hub (32007) in hand, and the tread part is coming soon. Thanks again, Jonathan (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Ldglite/Linux and sub-parts

(...) I'll take a look at that tonight. I never heard of the s directory. However I have used primitives in the p\48 directory though. I'll have to look at that too. Should be easy to fix though. When did you grab the source? I just dumped a (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ldraw under linux?

(...) Sniping my beta testers eh? ;^) If you want something that can edit files and is fairly stable (I think) I'd go with LeoCAD. But if you just want something to hook up to Netscape in linux to view ldraw files, and you don't mind beta testing (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Suggestion for interprocess communication

(...) That's an item I was thinking about already ... will see whats possible ... (...) Sure, I know, but for me the plain api with its window messages is already similar to the difference between hardware and software of a computer :-) I mean I do (...) Seriously, if we want that functionality, then I think the modeller (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

L3Lab - yet another LDraw viewer

As you may know I have been cooking on this L3 program for more than two years now (not that this tells anything about its size and quality ;-) However, I believe L3 now has so many useful features that many of you (especially part authors) also (...)   Re: ldraw under linux?

Use LeoCAD (by Leonardo Zide) Linux version. LeoCAD uses same part library of Ldraw (but converted in a different file format) and can load and save Ldraw *.dat files. Go here: (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: 8448 Flexible Axles (was Re: Parts from 8448 not LDrawn)

(...) I'd say include them in Technic. The odd stop collar axles were originally introced to accompany the flexible motorizeable axles in Znap (I think), but they still look like Technic for most LDraw users. Adding them to a Znap category would (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Ldglite/Linux and sub-parts

Hi, I just installed MESA/Glut and Ldglite, and it went really smooth! No problems at all. But I noticed something wrong when loading models: Ldglite does not appear to handle references to sub-parts correctly. Take the part 32013.dat as an example: (...)   ldraw under linux?

How can I display/make ldraw dat files under linux? Is dosemu+ledit a good way to go? What about displaying ldraw files? I heard something about an ldlite for linux. Where can I get that? -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Organizing the LDraw CD-ROM

(...) So like, I should design the look of it the way I want, and you'll make it work or something? (sorry, its late, I got back from being out and having the most fun I've had in a LONG time, so my brain's a little fried) -Tim (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Suggestion for interprocess communication

Another thing which comes into my mind now .... If LDList is managing the sets with it's parts, then it would not only have to know that someone is dragging a part away from it, but also if someone is changing the part color in a CAD program, if the (...)
